In this article we continue our Champions League coverage by producing the UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 best Limitless team. To do this we take into account several factors including fixture difficulty, team and player form and statistics.

The Limitless is one of two chips provided by UCL Fantasy to give fantasy managers a boost. The Limitless allows its user to make as many changes for that particular Matchday as possible without budget limitations until the upcoming deadline.

Goalkeepers

Picking out a goalkeeper on Tuesday may be tricky but Alexander Meyer appears to be the standout option. Dortmund face a home clash against a Sturm Graz side who have failed to score in two of their three matches so far.

In the case that Alexander Meyer fails to pick up a significant return on the first day, Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez can come in on the Wednesday. Unai Emery’s men have managed three consecutive clean sheets in the Champions League so go into their meet with Club Brugge in great defensive form.

Defenders

Both Liverpool and Leverkusen have been excellent – winning all three of their games and racking up four clean sheets between them. This week they face each other, but ignoring their hugely attacking defenders could be very risky. Based on their multiple routes to points both Alejandro Grimaldo and Trent Alexander-Arnold make the cut. Fortunately they both play on Tuesday so managers can switch them out if they blank.

Another player who plays on Tuesday is Stefan Ristovski. GNK Dinamo may not be appealing in regards to investment at first glance but they face a woeful Slovan Bratislava frontline next so doing so may be rewarding. Ristovski also offers major attacking threat, after registering two assists in his Matchday 3 game.

It could be crucial buying into the Manchester City defence this week. Three clean sheets in three matches so far makes them one of the best defences in the competition. Rico Lewis is their standout option at the back due to his attacking threat and advanced positioning.

Completing the defence is Achraf Hakimi. PSG may not be at their best but neither are Atelti, which is who they face this week. The Moroccan has amassed an impressive three goals and three assists for club and country this season, so offers plenty of attacking potential.

Midfielders

Taking into account his current form, Mohamed Salah (£10m) could be an essential. As well as amassing 11 attacking returns in nine Premier League matches the Liverpool talisman and penalty taker has also bagged a goal and two assists in three Champions League games. A home match against Leverkusen lays ahead, a side who have shipped an average of around two goals per game in the Bundesliga.

Manchester City aren’t just racking up clean sheets but they have also banked a huge nine goals in their last two European games. Doubling up on their attack could be hugely rewarding and Phil Foden is their second best attacking option. Foden has claimed two back-to-back double-digit hauls in the Champions League and faces Sporting next up.

Barcelona are currently sustaining an average of around three goals scored per game both domestically and in Europe. Because of this and their fixture against Crvena Zvezda, owning both Raphinha and Dani Olmo could be wise. The former is in unstoppable form, as evident from his hattrick in Matchday 3 whilst the latter marked his return from injury by scoring a brace in the number 10 role recently.

Completing the midfield is Bukayo Saka. Arsenal face one of their toughest tests in Europe thus far when they travel to meet with Inter. However, the Serie A champions have been far from consistent domestically this season and penalty taker Bukayo Saka is in excellent form. Four goals and seven assists in the Champions and Premier League showcases that.

Forwards

No side has scored more goals than Manchester City in the Premier League so far and nine goals in their previous two European matches both back their potential this week. Spearheading one of the best attacks in Europe is Norwegian Erling Haaland who netted a brace in the previous round.

Robert Lewandowski completes an arguably essential triple up in the Barcelona attack. Crvena Zvezda rank joint worst in the entire League Phase and Lewandowski goes into the clash with them having collected a mammoth 19 goal contributions this campaign.

Who better to fill up the final spot up front. Bayern will want to bounce back after their humiliating loss to Barcelona last time out. Other than that game the German giants have netted 3-5 goals in all of their last five matches and Harry Kane has contributed to six of them. Kane’s season tally for the Champions and Premier League currently sits at 14 goals and four assists, making him one of the best attackers in Europe.
