UCL Fantasy Matchday 2 Best Differentials
The second round of the Champions League is about to begin and so we continue coverage by reeling off the UCL Fantasy Matchday 2 best differentials. To help us we consider lots of different factors including team and player form, fixture difficulty and stats.
Differentials are players who have low ownership. Owning a differential who has success can be extremely influential on both mini-league position and overall rank. Because of this checking out our UCL Fantasy Matchday 2 differentials can be extremely beneficial.
Deniz Undav – 0% Ownership
Stuttgart have a lovely home fixture against Sparta Praha this week and the German side have shown they can do some serious damage at home. The best example of this is their recent 5-1 demolition of fellow Bundesliga and Champions League side Dortmund.
Leading the Stuttgart frontline is Denis Undav (€7m) who was heavily involved in the win mentioned above. As well as scoring twice in that game Undav also netted his only sides goal away to Real Madrid in Matchday 1. His recent form is very impressive. In fact, in his last six matches for club and country Undav has failed just once to produce a goal contribution.
Christian Pulišić – 2% Ownership
Milan will be hoping to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in Matchday 1. Their recent win against Serie A rivals Inter was a step towards this. Although inconsistent this season overall Milan have shown fantastic goal threat – scoring two or more goals in four of their first six matches.
Leverkusen lay ahead in the new round. Although seemingly difficult Leverkusen have shipped at least two goals in most of their game this season. Primed to take advantage of that is Milan penalty taker Christian Pulišić (€7.5m). The American has been relentless recently – scoring in each of his last four matches. He also has proven ability against top teams with two goals coming against Inter and Liverpool.
Bernardo Silva – 5% Ownership
Recent draws against Arsenal and Inter will be motivation to get back to winning ways this week. 2022/23 Champions League winners Manchester City may have faltered but scoring between 2-4 goals in all but one of their matches this season so far should be acknowledged.
Manchester City take that scoring form into their match against Slovan Bratislava away, the same side Celtic hit five goals past in Matchday 1. With goals on the cards for their frontline, backing a Manchester City attacker along with Erling Haaland could be beneficial. With that in mind and his recent importance to the frontline Bernardo Silva (€7.5m) could be a great pick. Although quiet in terms of output recently Silva hit a goal and two assists in his first four matches of the season and the match ahead could be a great opportunity for him to recapture that same form.
Ademola Lookman – 5% Ownership
Cementing his name amongst the UCL Fantasy Matchday 2 best differentials is midfielder Ademola Lookman (€6.5m). After single handily winning the Europa League for his side against Leverkusen in the final Lookman’s stock has risen dramatically, and rightly so.
Since his historic hat-rick that day Lookman has produced four goals and two assists in his four Serie A matches. Atalanta seem to be gathering momentum going into the game from a goal scoring perspective – bagging 2+ in back-to-back league matches. Shakhtar Donetsk next up could be perfect opposition to continue that form and Lookman may well be involved.
Francisco Trincão – 1% Ownership
For the lucky few who are actually reading this you now have the knowledge that Pedro Goncalves is injured and will almost certainly miss Matchday 2. This could be a big loss for Sporting. However, they proved more than capable without him in their latest match. In fact as well as winning they also scored three goals.
Sporting have been in excellent form this season. The Portuguese side have won every single one of their league games so far. They also averaged a whopping 3.7 goals scored per game during that time. Another of their midfielder options involved in that run was Francisco Trincão (€6m). The winger goes into Matchday 2 against a ropey PSV defence off the back of three goals and two assists already this season.
