Notes

  • In this first draft I started by picking all the premium/mid priced player I wanted the most. I then figured out a way to build a team around that core.
  • With Limitless to play in MD2 in mind, Barcelona, Bayern, Arsenal and City players look like must haves to me. While I am undecided on Saka, I am pretty sure that Kane, Lewandowski, Kounde and Foden are locked in my team.
  • As far as budget picks are concerned, Thuram looks unbelievable out of position for 6.5m only. With no outstanding 4.5m options in midfield, Reijnders looks good value despite a tough group. He often finds himself in great shooting positions and gets occasional tackles and blocks.
  • I had to drop Haaland to Alvarez for budget reasons, but I’m really scared to go without him, so my final team a week from today could look a bit different in structure if I go back to him.

Notes

  • Teams such as Man City, Leipzig and Napoli have great MD1/3 so initial plan is to back those and LL MD2 (subject to change).
  • Thuram, Olmo and Simons stand out as budget picks who could get strong attacking returns but I’m not ruling out ball recovery monsters at similar prices in Rodri/Casemiro.
  • Haaland and Lewa are pretty much locks for me, though Osimhen could also be Kane/Lautaro/Openda before the deadline.
  • Defence is fairly premium with combination of attacking threat and ball recoveries. Davies and Dias are also players I’m considering.
  • Captain choices likely Haaland and Osimhen as it stands.

@FplToni

Notes

  • I’m not 100% sure but as it stands I’ll use MD1 like a free hit and use a chip in MD2.
  • One player that was in my draft from day 1 was Olmo but he got injured while playing for Spain so I will wait for more news about him.
  • Man City players could also be swapped for other Man City players if those above don’t start, they can easily score 4/5 goals.

Notes

  • Firstly, I am super excited that UCL Fantasy is back and we can all tinker around with different teams and after some tinkering here is my 1st draft.
  • I am considering MD1 more like a free hit as I plan to use one of my chips in MD2 so my draft and eventual team would be focusing on the best team possible just for MD1. With that in mind I have three Man City, two Barcelona, two Leipzig and two Porto.
  • The rest of my team kind of picks itself. Jude Bellingham is under-priced by a fair margin and given his initial form this season at just 7.5 Million, he should be in everyone’s team.
  • I really like Kane’s fixture at home vs Man United and Di Lorenzo has a great MD1 fixture too away to Braga.
  • Lastly Thuram is another player who plays OOP striker in a very good Inter team.

@uclfantasypod

  • Dan looks to have gone for the double up with some teams.
  • The double-ups Dan has opted for include teams like Napoli, Barcelona, Manchester City, Inter and Bayern.
  • Dan has also selected budget friendly picks like Thuram of Inter and Simons of Leipzig.
