UCL Fantasy Best Differentials for Matchday 6

In this article we take a look through some of the UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 6. To help us do that we have brought in expert manager and regular contributor @FplRossoneri who is one of the best in the community at finding them.

Differentials are players with low ownership within the game. They help to gain rank or an edge over your mini-league rivals. Because of this it can be absolutely vital to know who the best UCL Fantasy differentials for Matchday 6 are.

Introduction

Welcome back to my edition of the UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 6. For each Matchday, I go through the best differentials UCL Fantasy managers can target to increase their overall ranks and be a step ahead of their competition.

All players mentioned here will have less than 10% ownership. As always, I want to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful team @FFCommunity for giving me this platform to continue talking about UCL Fantasy. This is a game I absolutely love and have been playing for over 5+ years now.

Lastly, before I get into the meat of it, I am again super thankful to everyone who has supported my articles by giving them a read. The amount of love the MD1-MD5 articles have got thus far means the world to me. I have loved every feedback and your support is one of the major reasons I keep going. So, thank you, my lovely readers.

Santiago Gimenez, Feyenoord, 7.6m, TSB: 1%

The Mexican has been all the rage in Feyenoord ever since he joined the club last season. Giménez in just over a season of football at Feyenoord has scored 41 goals and assisted another five in 42 matches. This season in particular he looks to be in fine form – scoring 18 goals in just 15 matches so far.

Per 90 mins, Gimenez averages 2.21 shots on target with an xG of 1.02. This again indicates he is Feyenoord’s main man to get the goals.

Giménez is at a great price of 7.6m. With just 1% of managers owning him at the moment, he can be another great differential for MD6 given he plays Celtic.

Hakan Çalhanoglu, Inter Milan, 7.1m, TSB: 6%

It’s safe to say Hakan has turned a leaf after moving to Inter from arch-rivals AC Milan a few seasons ago. He now plays a more deep-lying midfielder role. There he orchestrates the midfield for Inter Milan instead of the attacking midfielder role he was used to at Milan and Leverkusen before that.

Inzaghi has been successful so far in his attempt to change Hakan’s role. This has contributed to some great performances in the recent past. He has started Inter’ every game in Serie A getting seven goals and two assists. He is also their main penalty taker which is an added advantage from a fantasy perspective.

This season per 90 minutes Hakan has created on average 1.76 chances and has a passing accuracy of 92% which is among the best for midfielders. Inter Milan will be playing Real Sociedad in MD6. Given it will be for the top spot in their group, I see a good opportunity to pick Hakan who is still only 6% owned.

Lois Openda, RB Leipzig, 7.6m, TSB: 2%

In Lois Openda, Leipzig have found a young, fast, and lethal get-in-behind striker who will provide goals week in and week out. That is exactly what he is doing this season with his new team.

Openda already has 10 goals and three assists in 14 starts in the German Bundesliga. He has looked nothing like a player who has just started playing in a completely new league. Last year was his breakout year in which he scored 21 goals in just 29 starts for RC Lens. He also helped them achieve Champions League football for the first time.

In my opinion, Openda is a great differential for MD6 as he has just 2% ownership of UCL Fantasy managers. Given how he has settled into this Leipzig team, I expect a great showing from him when Leipzig takes on Young Boys in MD6.

Hakim Ziyech, Galatasaray, 6.7m, TSB: 1%

It is safe to say Hakim Ziyech is slowly on his way to resurrecting his career after his move from Chelsea to Galatasaray. In the last few weeks, he has become their talisman especially given Zaha has been injured, most notably getting two goals and one assist vs Man United in MD5 of the Champions League.

Even though it is a small sample size, per 90 minutes, Ziyech averages 3.26 shots and has a chance creation of 2.56 so far. Galatasaray have a good MD6 game vs. FC Copenhagen and at just 1% ownership he could be a great differential going into the last MD of this year’s UCL Fantasy season.

Andriy Lunin, Real Madrid, 4.6m, TSB: 1%

It’s not often that you can say that you can own a budget GK costing just 4.6M who plays for Real Madrid in UCL fantasy. That is exactly what Lunin is. Given the unfortunate injuries to both Courtois and then Kepa recently, Lunin has been a steady and reliable GK so far in their absence.

In MD4, he immediately even stopped a penalty vs Braga which helped Real Madrid keep a clean sheet as well in the end. In six starts, Lunin has kept three clean sheets and per 90 minutes he averages 3.33 saves. Real Madrid will want to finish the group stages strong when they face out-of-sorts Union Berlin in MD6.

David Raum, RB Leipzig, 4.8m, TSB: 7%

Another player who I feel is still undervalued by UCL Fantasy managers is David Raum given what he provides to Leipzig both in defense and in the attacking front.

In the Bundesliga, he already has two goals and three in 14 matches and averages 1.83 chances created and 2.19 successful crosses per 90 minutes.

Another stat that is great from a UCL Fantasy perspective is Raum gets 6.81 ball recoveries per 90 minutes. This automatically boosts his points return potential. He is also on corner-taking duties and some of the free kicks as well which again adds to his value. Currently, in UCL Fantasy Raum is owned by just 7% of managers and could become a good source of points as Leipzig takes on Young Boys in MD6.

Notable Mentions

Here I would like to mention a few other names according to their position, price and ownership
respectively who caught my attention and can be considered as good differential options for
MD6 as well:

  • GK – Janis Blaswich (4.5m) – 4%, Diogo Costa (5.5m) – 5%, Álex Meret (4.9m) – 3%.
  • DEF – Sacha Boey (4.5m) – 1%, Q Hartman (4.6m) – 1%, Rico Lewis (4.8m) – 1%.
  • MID – P Foden (8m) – 7%, Bruno Fernandes (9.5m) – 6%, Oscar Gloukh (5.1m) – 2%.
  • FWD – R Leao (9.5m) – 6%, Rodrygo (9.1m) – 7%, V Osimhen (9.9m) – 5%.
