Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to June 24th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.
Mason Mount rejects Manchester United
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have rejected a third bid for Manchester United. The bid is in excess of £55m. It has also been confirmed that Mason Mount has agreed personal terms with the Reds. Mason Mount can play in several different positions including central midfield, the number 10 role and either flank.
Mount picked up just three goals and two assists in 22/23 but showed his potential in an attacking role in 21/22 where he managed 11 goals and 10 assists.
Angel Di Maria to Benfica
Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Benfica are closing in on a deal to sign Angel Di Maria. The Negotiations are at the final stages with his contract until June 2024. The 35-year-old can play on both the left and the right wing.
Di Maria bagged four goals and four assists in 26 games for Juventus last season. Benfica became one of the best teams to invest in during the most recent UCL Fantasy campaign due to their cheap enabling players. Many UCL managers will be closely monitoring the deal and if the move goes through keen on his price-tag.
Marcus Thuram to Inter
Fabrizio Romano stated that Inter have reached a full verbal agreement to sign Marcus Thuram. The deal is in place with a salary around €6/6.5m net per season. Inter edged the likes of PSG, Leipzig and Milan who were all rejected.
Marcus Thuram has caught the eye of some of the best clubs in Europe over the last several seasons. The Frenchman can play both as a winger and a striker but also banked 13 goals and six assists in 30 matches for Borussia Mochengladbach last season.
Bart Verbruggen to Brighton
It is confirmed that Brighton are set to sign goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. The agreement has been in place since last week. The contracts are being prepared and the fee is €20m. The 20-year-old kept eight clean sheets from 17 matches in the Pro League last season.
This means that Brighton could have three good goalkeeping options for the 23/24 campaign. These options also include Robert Sanchez and Jason Steele. FPL managers will be keen to see which of the options take the number one role.
Moises Caicedo to Chelsea
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea are still working on a deal for Moises Caicedo. Personal terms are almost agreed but Chelsea have also been busy with other deals. The 21-year-old Brighton midfielder has been excellent in his role this season and has also attracted several other clubs.
