Fulham sign Bassey
Fabrizio Romano confirms the signing of Calvin Bassey from Ajax to Fulham is edging closer. The deal is said to be worth €21m and Bassey’ medicals tests are booked. He also adds that the deal should be done on Saturday.
Calvin Bassey is a Nigerian centre-back who played his football for Ajax last season. Prior to that the 23-year-old also played for Rangers in the Scottish Premier League. Bassey is particularly strong when it comes to tackling and ground duels. His move could also strengthen the appeal of the Fulham defence in general for FPL.
Mbappe news
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Kylian Mbappe does not want to negotiate with Saudi club Al Hilal. He also states PSG sources believe he agreed a secret deal with Real Madrid. The French side are convinced he prefers a move to Madrid.
Mbappe has been one of the most consistent players in football and he managed 29 goals and five assists in Ligue 1 last season. If Mbappe makes the move to Real Madrid he will be one of the most standout options in UCL Fantasy.
Is Kane leaving Spurs?
According to Fabrizio Romano the Bayern board are set to meet Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to discuss Harry Kane. He also adds that Bayern are prepared to improve their bid after €80m and add ons were rejected over two weeks ago. PSG are also keen so they will be hoping to pounce if the deal collapses.
Harry Kane is one of the best the strikers in the world. The Englishman bagged a huge 30 goals and created three assists in 38 league matches for an inconsistent Spurs last season. If Kane makes the move to Bayern he could be one of the best options in the game for UCL Fantasy.
Fulham are getting busy
After the purchase of Calvin Bassey, Fulham are looking to further invest in their attack. Fabrizio Romano confirms Fulham have made a verbal proposal to Callum Hudson-Odoi. The offer from Fulham is rumoured to be £4m. However, Chelsea are looking for around double that.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is a 22-year-old winger who can play on the left and the right wing. The Englishman scored just one goal and picked up two assists last season for Chelsea then picked up one assist from 14 matches during his loan spell in the Bundesliga. Because of that there are serious question marks over his attacking output.
Brighton reject Chelsea again
Fabrizio Romano also confirms Chelsea made a new bid for Moises Caicedo. He also adds that the proposal of £80m was immediately rejected by Brighton. Negotiations are on going but there is no agreement in place yet.
Moises Caicedo is a 21-year-old central midfielder who has played the last two season at Brighton. The Ecuadorian has several different strengths including tackling, positioning and long balls. The Chelsea defence could hugely benefit from the arrival of Caicedo and make their assets even more appealing in FPL.
