Harry Kane to Bayern?
David Ornstein stated that the Bayern CEO met with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to discuss Harry Kane. Both clubs are on good terms, no fresh offer, no price given and Kane will travel for pre-season matches.
Harry Kane has one year left on his contract which means if a deal isn’t made before that Tottenham will not be able to cash in on him. It also means we could say many different clubs trying to sign Kane on a free transfer next summer.
Kane has been one of the most reliable FPL assets over the last several years – his departure could also have a significant impact on the appeal of the likes of James Maddison (£7m) and Son Heung-min (£9m) in FPL.
Another point to highlight is that if Harry Kane does join Bayern, he could become one of the most appealing options in UCL Fantasy for the new campaign.
Moussa Diaby to Aston Villa
Fabrizio Romano stated that Aston Villa plan to bid again for Moussa Diaby in the next few days. He also stated that negotiations were ongoing with Bayer Leverkusen. An opening bid of €35 plus add-ons was turned down by the German side but talks are still on.
Moussa Diaby is a 24-year-old midfielder who can play on both the left and right flank. Last season for Bayer Leverkusen Diaby predominantly played on the right side. There he managed to register nine goals and eight assists in 33 matches.
FPL managers will be keen to monitor the situation especially after their form under new manager Unai Emery.
Tahith Chong joins Luton
Fabrizio Romano also reported that Luton Town have completed their first signing of the summer. Tahith Chong joins the newly promoted Premier League side for £5m plus £5m in add-ons from Championship side Birmingham.
Tahith Chong is a 23-year-old Dutch player who plays most of his football on the right flank. Chong helped Birmingham secure another season in the Championship scoring four goals and creating five assists last season.
Andre Onana edges closer to Manchester United
Manchester United are getting closer to signing Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana. Fabrizio Romano states that the clubs are closing in on the final details of the deal. He also notes that all parties expect Onana to become a Manchester United player soon.
Andre Onana impressed during his years at Ajax. There he managed to pick up nine clean sheets in 20 Eredivisie matches in 20/21. His rise continued last season as he helped Inter reach the final of the Champions League.
Manchester United collected more clean sheets than any other side in the Premier League last campaign. With this in mind, if Onana joins Manchester United it could make their defensive assets even more investable – many will even be hoping that Onana comes into FPL at £5m.
Willian to Nottingham Forest
Fabrizio Romano has been following the progress of Willian throughout the transfer window. He states that both Fulham and Nottingham Forest have sent formal proposals. In the latest update to his original tweet he also states that Nottingham Forest are pushing for a deal.
Willian is a 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder who can play on both the left and right flank of attack. He impressed with Fulham last campaign after scoring five goals and registering five assists. Willian is priced at £5.5m in FPL so depending on the club he joins, he could be an interesting budget option for the season ahead.
