Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to January 13th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.
Radu Dragusin signs for Tottenham
Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Radu Dragusin on X this week. Dragusin signed from Serie A side Genoa after impressing in Serie A this season.
The signing has multiple knock on affects for multiple fantasy teams. Firstly Dragusin adds a lot of value to the Tottenham defence in terms of FPL which suggests their assets have better clean sheet potential moving forward.
The departure from Genoa also affects their defensive appeal in Serie A Fantasy. Genoa have impressed this season and have become a great side to invest in from a defensive perspective but could that be about to change?
Werner joins Tottenham
Tottenham continued their busy start to the transfer window by signing former Chelsea player Timo Werner on loan. Werner really struggled to find his feet for the Blues last time out. The German managed just four goals in his last Premier League campaign.
Werner will no doubt create a selection headache for manager Ange Postecoglu. One player who could become a rotation risk long-term is Richarlison who seems to be one of the hottest purchases in FPL at the moment.
Sancho returns to Dortmund
Fabrizio Romano confirms below that Jadon Sancho has returned to Dortmund. The recently departed Manchester United player really struggled in the Premier League and played just three matches in the build up to his leave.
In his last season for Dortmund Sancho racked up a huge eight goals and 11 assists in 26 matches. Bundesliga Fantasy managers will be excited for Sancho’ return this season and he could well be one of the most wanted players over the coming weeks.
Fofana joins strugglers in fight for survival
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the loan signing of David Datro Fofana from Chelsea. Fofana was previously on loan at Bundesliga side Union Berlin. The Ivory Coast international impressed in pre-season for them but other than scoring in the Champions League against Napoli he failed to make a significant impact.
Burnley will welcome the arrival of Fofana from mother club Chelsea. The promoted side sit 19th in the league with just 12 points after 21 matches and one of the things they are lacking is goals, something they hope Fofana will provide.
Ian Maatsen joins Dortmund
Another significant loan signing is new Dortmund signing Ian Maasten from Chelsea. The Dutch international plays in both a wing and full-back role and will offer plenty of versatility to his new club.
Dortmund will be hoping that he can return to the form he showed at Burnley last season where he picked up 10 attacking returns from wing-back.
Bundesliga Fantasy managers will be keeping a close eye on how Maatsen fits into Dortmund’ system and if he can solidify a solid run of gametime.
