Transfers and Gossip up to August 28th

As the leagues continue around Europe and the rest of the world, many are looking to buy, loan or sell players. We catchup with the transfers and gossip up to August 28th with the help of top tier source Fabrizio Romano and other reliable sources.

Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to August 28th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.

Manchester United enquire about Cucurella

Fabrizio Romano discussed the situation at Manchester United. The Reds have recently lost their first team left-back Luke Shaw which means they are now on the market to sign a new one. As we can see below Manchester United have made contact with Chelsea regarding Marc Cucurella.

According to Romano Manchester United have three candidates on their shortlist. Cucurella has struggled to maintain gametime due to his questionable performances. There could be concerns that if Cucurella does come in for the Reds it could make them a worse side defensively.

Tottenham show interest in Johnson

As we can see below Tottenham are prepared to approach Nottingham Forest for Brennan Johnson this week. New manager Ange Postecoglou has also approved the move so there is plenty of interest there from the coach.

Romano also states that Nottingham Forest have already rejected big proposals. Brennan Johnson has been instrumental to his sides front-line – The Welshman managed eight goals and three assists in 38 league matches last season. The 22-year-old can play in all areas of attack so could be a huge benefit to the improving Tottenham attack.

Lukaku closing in on new club

Romano also covered Romelu Lukaku’ ventures during the summer window. He confirms that Italian side Roma want the striker and that the deal could be done imminently. Talks took place with Chelsea and the player after the €5m loan proposal.

Roma have got off to a slow start in Serie A and the fantasy game – they claimed just one point from their first two matches. One of their biggest issues is that they have star striker Tammy Abraham out due to injury. The arrival of Lukaku could seriously lift the Roma attack and fantasy managers will be very interested in his price if he joins.

Kudus joins West Ham

After interest from Arsenal, Brighton and Chelsea during the summer West Ham have secured the signing of Mohammed Kudus. The deal looks set for around €45m with a sell-on clause and his contract will be until 2028.

Kudus is a fantastic young player who can play in all positions of attack from right-wing to a number 10 and even in a central midfield position. Kudus has shown talent both in the Dutch domestic league, the Champions League and even the World Cup. The attacker could have massive potential as a FPL asset so could be a great player to monitor moving forward.
