Transfers and Gossip up to August 14th

As the leagues prepare to commence around Europe and the rest of the world, many will be looking to buy, loan or sell players. We catchup with the transfers and gossip up to August 14th with the help of top tier source Fabrizio Romano and other reliable sources.

Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to August 14th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.

Caicedo edging towards Chelsea?

David Ornstein has confirmed that Chelsea have made an agreement to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton. Ornstein also adds that the deal is a British record fee of £115m plus a sell on clause and the contract is for eight years with the option to add another.

Both Liverpool and Brighton have been battling to sign Caicedo as both clubs are in serious need of a defensive midfielder. Caicedo is exactly that and it is highly likely that if he joins he will make the Blues much more defensively investable in FPL.

Harrison signs for Everton

David Ornstein also covered the situation between Everton and Leeds. He confirmed that the Toffees signed Jack Harrison. The deal is a season-long loan move but Everton would like to make it a permanent move.

Jack Harrison is a 26-year-old midfielder who can pay as both a left and right winger. His strengths lay mainly within high pressing and general playmaking. He also managed five goals and seven assists last season for Leeds who got relegated at the end of the campaign.

Fantasy managers will be interested to see what kind of price-tag Jack Harrison comes in at. Everton have some fair fixtures in the next several Gameweeks but it may be wise to just monitor Harrison’ minutes and output for now.

Zaniola to Aston Villa?

Fabrizio Romano shed light on an interesting move this week. He stated that Aston Villa made a bid to sign Zaniolo on loan with an option to buy. He also adds that the player is insisting to join the Premier League side and that Villa are hoping to complete a deal soon.

Nicolo Zaniolo is a 24-year-old Italian international who has played most of his recent football for Roma, Galatasaray and Italy. The left-footed attacker can play as a striker or right winger but his strength lays in attacking midfield. Zaniolo managed five goals in 10 league games for Galatasaray most recently.

Could Neymar be heading to Saudi?

Fabrizio also stated that Saudi club Al Hilal made an attempt to sign Neymar from French side PSG. Al Hilal are preparing the necessary documents to get the deal done and the player has also approved the move.

Neymar has played a crucial role in the PSG frontline for some years now. Last season the Brazilian managed an impressive 13 goals and 11 assists in just 20 league matches so it could prove to be a big loss for UCL Fantasy managers.

The Neymar move also has a positive affect on new PSG signing Goncalo Ramos. The former Benfica striker looks set to play plenty of gametime with this move. Ramos picked up 19 goals and two assists in the league last season also bagged four goal contributions in the Champions League. Taking all of this into account UCL Fantasy managers will be looking forward to seeing his price-tag.
