Top Players 2021/22
With the Premier League season over Official FPL have been looking back on the top players for different categories.
Top for saves
Leeds Meslier was the goalkeeper who recorded the most saves last season. He made 12 more saves than second placed Schmeichel from Leicester.
Kings of the Gameweek
Son, Ronaldo and Salah who the most appearances in the Kings of the Gameweek votes. They were one ahead of Son’s team mate Harry Kane and two ahead of Cancelo, Maddison and Bowen.
Top players for price rises
Over the course of the season Son and Cancelo’s prices rose more than any other players. Both players prises rose by an impressive £1.2m. Chelsea’s Reece James’ also saw a price rise of £1m over the course of the 2021/22 season.
Best value player
Liverpool’s Joel Matip was the best value player in the game for the 2021/22 season. This metric measures the number of points a player collected based on the price that FPL managers have to pay for them. Bowen was second.
Most bonus points
Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne picked up the most bonus points during the season. The midfielder registered 33 bonus points, just one more than Alexander-Arnold.
Top players: points scorer
Liverpool’s Mo Salah was the top points scorer for FPL 2021/22. Salah returned 265 points. He was followed by Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min who registered 258 points. Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold was third 208 points.
