England have a great opportunity to end the Group Stage on a high after a questionable start to the competition. After playing two tough opponents things get a little easier this week against geographical neighbours Wales, and Hannah Hampton should have the potential to keep a clean sheet.
With back-to-back losses in their first two matches, Belgium have highlighted themselves as a team to target. Portugal on the other hand showed glimpses of quality in their 1-1 draw against Italy. With that in mind, Ines Pereira could be a great option.

Defenders
Portugal will be hoping to pick up all three points against Belgium this week. They could even keep a clean sheet against them. If that is the case then centre-back Diana Gomes could benefit. As well as scoring in her previous match, Gomes also produced an impressive 16 ball recoveries across her first two outings.
England will be a team many flock to this week. They won’t have a better opportunity to keep a clean sheet in the competition than this week against a poor Wales side. At the back, offering multiple routes to points is full-back Lucy Bronze. In the three matches prior to Matchday 1 Bronze scored twice and registered an assist, displaying her attacking potential.
Switzerland play with a back-three which makes their wing-backs super appealing heading into the final round. One of them is Nadine Riesen who has registered a goal and a clean sheet already. She also mustered up three assists in the five matches prior to the competition.

Midfielders
Spain have already won both of their first two games, so avoiding defeat against Italy would guarantee them top spot in Group B. During those two first matches Spain amassed a massive 11 goals, so buying into the attack is crucial. One player it could be difficult to leave out is Alexia Putellas who has already produced a whopping three goals, two assists and two player of the match awards.
Building up match fitness and likely to start is Aitana Bonmati, she hit a huge 15 goals and 11 assists in the league and Champions League last season with Barcelona. Italy have been far from convincing thus far so Spain could well continue their impressive scoring run.
Gerlaldine Reuteler is another name you should have on your shortlists. Switzerland come up against Finland this week which could mean Reuteler adds to the two player of the match awards and one goal she has already produced. The Frankfurt star is also explosive – having managed more than one goal contribution in four of the last 10 games in which she has returned.
Other viable midfield picks include Spain’ Mariona Caldentey, England’ Georgia Stanway, and Germany’ Jule Brand.
Forwards
England’ clash with Wales could be a massive opportunity for three points. Spearheading the England attack is the fantastic Alessia Russo. Russo hit 12 goals and two assists in the Women’s Super League last season for Arsenal and managed a huge seven goals and two assists during her sides recent Champions League win.
Talking of explosive, Denmark’ Pernille Harder comes to mind. The Bayern striker has also managed more than one goal contribution in four of her last 10 matches in which she has returned, and heads into her next match after bagging four goals and three assists in her previous 10 matches.
Spain’ scoring run makes them a prime target when looking for good striker options. Whilst they have several of them at their disposal, leading the attack is Esther Gonzalez who has already netted three goals in the competition so far.
