Top Picks – Defenders – Kyle Walker-Peters (£7.1m)
Southampton’ four wins in their last five league matches have pushed them just three points behind second place Ipswich. They have also kept three full clean sheets in that period and Kyle Walker-Peters remains the best pick. Not only has he banked two goals and two assists this season but he was excellent in his most recent game – creating two key passes and having a shot on target.
Milan van Ewijk (£6m)
Coventry have found themselves sixth in the Championship after a brilliant run of form and winning four of their last five league matches. Since their slump ended in November Coventry have collected five full clean sheets so it could be time to invest in someone like Milan van Ewijk. In terms of his offensive ability, it’s there – having scored in his most recent match against Leicester.
Differential Defender Pick – Junior Firpo (£5.6m)
The Leeds defence has held up very well recently and in fact they have kept three back-to-back clean sheets in all competitions. Now although Sam Byram did feature in the last match for a short period he may not be ready to start so Junior Firpo is likely to play. Firpo has been very impressive recently in terms of creativity – registering three assists in his last three matches.
Midfielders – Dan James (8.5m)
Leeds aren’t just fourth in the league but they have also netted a huge 48 goals this season. They face Preston next up, a side who have conceded seven goals in their last three matches. One player who could take advantage of that is Dan James who has racked up two goals and two assists in his last three matches reflecting fine form.
Crysencio Summerville (£9m)
In terms of their recent scoring form Leeds have netted three goals in all of their last three matches. It could be time to double up on the Leeds midfield with our next man being a shoe-in. Summerville has been the main man for Leeds this season and his 12 goals and seven assists in just 24 matches proves it. He remains in decent form with two attacking returns in his last two starts.
Differential Midfielder Pick – Jonathan Rowe (£5m)
Norwich have been inconsistent recently but one thing they do have is Jonathan Rowe. The 20-year-old has been very efficient when playing this season – hitting 11 goals and two assists in just 25 matches. Two of those goal contributions also came in his last two matches which suggests he has form on his side too.
Forwards – Georginio Rutter (£9.2m)
Despite their recent win over Bristol City it could be lights out for Preston against Leeds this week based on their recent form overall. It also gives the Leeds attackers huge potential in GAFFR and another one of those is Rutter. Rutter has managed 14 goal contributions in just 26 matches this campaign and one of them came in his last match against Cardiff.
Adam Armstrong (£10.2m)
Southampton are scoring plenty of goals, 16 in their last five matches in all competitions to be exact. The Saints are charging to the automatic promotion spots and spearheading the attack is the lethal Adam Armstrong. Armstrong has been in scintillating form this season and just in his last game he managed to register two assists and a goal.
Differential Striker Pick – Josh Sargent (£8.3m)
Leading the Norwich attack this week is this man. They go into the next match with huge confidence after their recent win against Hull. Josh Sargent hasn’t started many matches this season but when he has he has been effective. In fact, in the seven matches he has featured Sargent scored four goals and created one assist.
