Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 16 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.
Defenders – Leif Davis
Ipswich continue to impress as they sit second in the league and just three points behind leaders Leicester. Their most effective GAFFR asset is flying full-back Davis. He comes up against Swansea next whom have failed to score in two of their last three matches. Davis also remains in the top two highest scoring defenders in the game.
Sam Byram
Leeds will take massive confidence from their recent victory against league leaders Leicester. They face Plymouth next up whom have won just one of their last five games. Someone who could benefit from that poor form is Sam Byram. The Leeds left-back is one of the cheaper picks in their backline and he’s also bagged two attacking returns this season.
Differential – Trai Hume
I think he could be a great differential pick this week. Sunderland face a match against Birmingham next who are struggling under new manager Wayne Rooney – losing three of their last four matches and failing to score in both. It could be a good opportunity for Hume at right-back who also scored in one of his most recent matches.
Midfielders – Crysencio Summerville
Plymouth are shipping a lot of goals recently – three in both of their last two matches. With that and Leeds’ scoring form it could be a great week to captain a Leeds player. One worth considering is Summerville who has been in brilliant form – producing eight attacking returns in his last six matches.
Jack Clarke
Sunderland could also be a great place to place for one of the captaincy armbands as they come up against Birmingham. They aren’t just in poor form but Wayne Rooney’ side have conceded two goals or more in all three of their last matches.
In comes Clarke who has been one of the best assets in the game this season. He’s already managed nine goals and one assist this season but he also takes his sides penalties. This is significant because he has taken and converted four already this campaign.
Differential – Dan James
Whilst Summerville could be the standout Leeds midfielder Dan James could also be a great asset. Not only did he bag three assists for his country during the last break but he also netted a brace in his recent match against Huddersfield.
Forwards – Georginio Rutter
The Leeds attacking potential could be massive amongst their attackers this week with their match against Plymouth. Another of their consistent players in terms of output is Rutter. The 21-year-old has picked up a return in four of his last six matches which reflects his growing confidence.
Conor Chaplin
Ipswich aren’t just one of the best sides in the league this season but they have also netted more goals than any other team in the league (33). Because of that investing in their attack is vital. Chaplin has become one of the most consistent strikers in GAFFR this season and that looks set to continue against Swansea this week.
Differential – Haji Wright
Haji Wright could be an interesting asset this week. The striker managed a brace in his most recent match which could spark a run of form starting against Stoke.
