Top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 12

The new Championship campaign continues which means the fantasy game does too! Because of this we provide the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 12 with the help of our expert GAFFR manager @TomP_FF.

Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 12 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.

Defenders – Leif Davis (£5.1m)

Davis is the king of defenders this year in GAFFR. He also averages 3.5 key passes and 0.7 shots a game, and he’s got five assists in 10 games so far. Rotherham away is a nice fixture on paper and I’d back Davis for some bonus and at least a half clean sheet against a Rotherham side who struggle in front on goal.

Darnell Furlong (£6.0m)

A goal and an assist in 10 starts, Furlong looks good at RWB in the West Brom side. Plymouth at home is a nice fixture on paper. I’d expect Furlong to thrive as West Brom will likely mirror Plymouth’s formation, leaving space in behind the wing backs for Furlong and Wallace on the right.

Midfielders- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£7.9m)

Dewsbury Hall is a great pick for this week. He’s averaging 3.1 shots a game and three key passes so far which are ridiculous stats for bonus. Swansea away is also a decent fixture, and I believe Dewsbury Hall is a superior pick to team mate Mavididi. I’d also be much more comfortable captaining him over the latter.

Sammie Szmodics (£6.6m)

He’s bagged seven goals and two assists in 11 starts and is the Championships in form player at the moment. Cardiff at home is a nice fixture and I’d back Szmodics to keep his run going, especially with Blackburn being so strong at home.

Forwards – Nathan Broadhead (£6.1m)

Six goal contributions in 11 starts, Broadhead makes it into the top picks article this week. Him and Chaplin are great assets and Rotherham away is a great fixture. I’m backing both of them to do well this week.

Conor Chaplin (£6.5m)

Seven contributions in 11 starts, Chaplin is averaging 4.5 shots a game and 1.1 key passes a game which is great for bonus. Ipswich’s run for the next four is great and Chaplin is a great asset for this week and going forward.

Differential – Jamal Lewis (£5.9m)

Lewis is averaging one key pass and 0.3 shots a game so far this season. I like Lewis this week with Watford facing Sheffield Wednesday at home who have been pretty poor so far this season. Watford haven’t been too great either but I believe the fixture is too good to ignore, hence why I like Lewis as a differential.

Sorba Thomas (£6.0m)

Four goal contributions in nine starts, Thomas looks like a great differential this week. He’s great for bonus, averaging 2.8 key passes and 0.7 shots a game. I believe QPR at home is a great fixture on paper this week.

Vakoun Bayo (£7.5m)

Two goals in this last three games, and with Sheffield Wednesday at home next up, I really fancy Bayo this week if you’re looking for a striker differential. 1.9 shots and 0.7 key passes are solid baseline. If he returns he will also likely get bonus, a nice pick for this week.
