Top 10 Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 35

If you have little clue as to who the highest owned players going into the new round are, then you are in the right place. Here we take a look at the Top 10 Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 35, counting down from 10th to 1st.

Player ownership has become a major part of the game, so knowing which players have the most ownership can be hugely significant when making decisions, so let’s get stuck in!

6th-10th

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 35

Breaking into the top 10 for the first time in months is Virgil Van Dijk. With the league already wrapped up, there is no telling how much motivation they’ll have going into the round. They also have the challenge of preventing Chelsea from scoring.

Chris Wood appears to have snuck back into the top 10 after a short time out. Crystal Palace have shipped a huge 12 goals in their previous four matches, so the Nottingham Forest penalty taker could have potential.

Dropping out of the top five and losing over 5% ownership is Omar Marmoush. After blanking in the previous round, the Egyptian now faces off with Wolves, who rank among the worst sides in the league for total goals conceded thus far.

Another player who has lost owners since the previous round is David Raya. Arsenal come up against Bournemouth this week so keeping a clean sheet won’t be easy. But, the Gooners have also maintained excellent defensive data this campaign, so don’t be surprised if they do.

In at sixth and just outside the top five is another Manchester City asset, Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian showed his attacking threat once again in the Cup – scoring against Nottingham Forest. He takes that into a game against Wolves, where he’ll also have clean sheet potential.

5th – 32.2% Ownership

Slipping from fourth and losing around 2% in ownership, William Saliba (£6.6m) remains the highest owned defender in the game. Although short of attacking threat, the Frenchman is Arsenal’ most reliable defender in terms of gametime heading into the clash with Bournemouth.

4th – 35.4% Ownership

Falling from third to fourth on last week is Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer (£10.6m). Palmer has been out of form for some time now – failing to score since Gameweek 21. This week his potential could be limited as he faces off against Liverpool.

3rd – 36.8% Ownership

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 35

Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) knocked Palmer out of third, mostly due to the fact he has some nice fixtures ahead. He also goes into the next game against Manchester United after bagging a whopping 18 points in Gameweek 33.

2nd – 62.4% Ownership

Adding another 3% ownership to his total is Alexander Isak (£9.6m). The Newcastle striker has returned in four of his previous six matches heading into Gameweek 35. This week Isak meets with a leaky Brighton side, which could see him add to his impressive overall season tally.

1st – 71.3% Ownership

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 35

There could be major question marks over how motivated Liverpool will be with the league already won. However, a match against Chelsea could be enough to give them a boost. Likely to be among any goals Liverpool score against the Blues is midfielder Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) who remains top for ownership.
