Top 10 Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 33

Last modified date

If you have little clue as to who the highest owned players going into the new round are, then you are in the right place. Here we take a look at the Top 10 Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 33, counting down from 10th to 1st.

6th-10th

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 33

In 10th, and breaking into the top 10 for the first time is Daniel Munoz (£5.3m). Crystal Palace face two matches this week, against Bournemouth and Arsenal. Munoz goes into the week as one of the most attacking defenders in the game thus far this season.

Dropping a massive 13% in ownership, and slipping out of the top five since Gameweek 31. Chris Wood (£6.9m) recently returned from injury. This week Wood comes up against a poor Tottenham defence, which could see him back among the returns.

Another player powering into the top 10 over the previous two rounds is Omar Marmoush (£7.6m). Everton and Aston Villa lay ahead, which makes the Egyptian, not just a good option, but also an interesting captaincy pick.

Gaining 5% ownership since his last feature, Josko Gvardiol (£6.2m) is another popular player coming into the round. The Croatian defender has multiple routes to points going into his double Gameweek, so don’t be surprised to see his ownership increase even more ahead of the deadline.

Coming in at 6th, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya (£5.5m) has very good potential ahead. The Gooners continue to maintain excellent defensive data, and they meet with Ipswich and Crystal Palace, giving Raya two chances to keep a clean sheet.

5th – 32.1% Ownership

Climbing back into the top after being dumped out recently is William Saliba (£6.5m). The Arsenal centre-back has become the standout option since teammate Gabriel’ injury. As well as clean sheet potential, the Frenchman also has some goal threat from set-plays.

4th – 33.3% Ownership

Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£8m) has dropped by around five percent ownership, but he remains in 4th place. Mbeumo has tough fixtures ahead, starting with a match against Brighton who continue to push for a European spot. Mbeumo goes into the game having failed to score or assist in his previous two matches.

3rd – 39.5% Ownership

Chelsea’ Cole Palmer (£10.7m) secures 3rd for another week, even after losing around 3% of his ownership. The midfielder and penalty taker has returned in two of his previous three matches, but plays just once and against Fulham away from home.

2nd – 61.5% Ownership

In 2nd, and securing his position, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak (£9.5m) continues to gain in popularity. After a double Gameweek in the previous round, Isak owners have to settle for just one fixture this week, against an Aston Villa side bruised by their recent exit from the Champions League.

1st – 71.5% Ownership

Untouchable at the top and edging every other player in the game once more is Mohamed Salah (£13.8m). The Liverpool midfielder may not be exploding with form and output recently, but that could change this week with a clash against a woeful Leicester defence.
