- The transfer window for English clubs, including the Premier League, EFL, and Women’s Super League (WSL), opened on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
- For most major European leagues, such as France, Germany, Scotland, and Spain, the window also closes on Monday, February 3, 2025, though the closing times may vary.
- Deadline Day for English clubs is Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11 pm UK time.
- Italian clubs have a shorter window, closing on Saturday, February 1, at 7 pm.
- The transfer window in Türkiye closes on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
- The window for Saudi Arabian clubs closes on January 30.
- The WSL and Women’s Championship transfer window closes at 11 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Transfer Rules and Regulations
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time, and a maximum of four loans are permitted per season. Additionally, a club cannot loan more than one player from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan a player to another Premier League club if they acquired that player in the same transfer window.
- Premier League clubs are limited to loaning one goalkeeper to another Premier League club.
- EFL regulations allow for more loan flexibility, but a maximum of five loan players can be named in a matchday squad.
- EFL clubs are limited to four temporary loan signings in a season, and no more than two of them can be over 23 years old.
- Any loan that becomes a permanent transfer does not count towards a club’s loan quota.
- EFL clubs can make emergency goalkeeper loans if all their professional goalkeepers are unavailable.
- Free agents can sign for a team at any time, as they are not contracted to another club.
- Players who will become free agents at the start of July can agree to a transfer to a foreign club starting on January 1st, but they cannot officially join the new club until their contract ends.
