Teams with the Worst Fixtures in FPL after the Break

Last modified date

The International break is here which means, for now, Premier League football is on pause. This is a great opportunity to look at teams with the worst fixtures in FPL after the break. To do this we head over to the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area and utilise the fixture ticker.

Focusing on teams with the worst fixtures in FPL after the break can be one of the best routes to success. Difficult fixtures usually mean a decrease in productivity for players so planning around that in terms of transfers, captaincy and chips can propel you ahead of your rivals.

Brighton

Brighton have made a great start to the campaign under their new manager. As well as winning three, drawing three and losing just one of their matches they also sit sixth in the league.

However, the Seagulls dwell rock bottom of the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. A trip away from home against Newcastle is challenging enough but immediately after clashing with Wolves they meet with heavy hitters Liverpool and Manchester City.

After their fixture with Manchester City though Brighton then have matches against Bournemouth and Southampton. This could signal a change in their schedule and potential.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth on the other hand have had a mixed start to their season. The Cherries sit 13th in the league after claiming two wins, two draws and three losses.

What is worth highlighting is the opposition they have faced. As well as facing Newcastle they have also had to play against the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.

Unfortunately that tough starting schedule continues with matches against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City in their next three games.

After that run however Bournemouth face Brentford, Brighton and Wolves, which could see their potential increase massively.

Chelsea

One side who have started their new campaign brilliantly is Chelsea. The Blues sit fourth in the league after winning four, drawing two and losing just one of their first seven matches.

Their scoring form should also be highlighted. In fact, only Manchester City have netted more goals than Chelsea this season, which shows just how reliable they have been in front of goal.

Chelsea’s good starting schedule seems to be on the turn, facing Liverpool in the next round, with matches against Newcastle, Manchester United and Arsenal immediately after. Aston Villa at the end of that run tops off a potentially limiting period for their assets.

Other Teams with Tricky Schedules

Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, West Ham and Aston Villa all sit at the lower end of the fixture ticker.

Most of the focus will likely be on Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa in this case. All three sides became popular in terms of FPL investment early on in the campaign. This was mostly due to their kind schedules.

However, with tougher schedules ahead, FPL managers may start to question their potential, especially if other sides have a positive run of fixtures.

That may be the case but all three sides have also shown good early form, so it could be a question of form v fixtures, a debate that has gripped the fantasy football community for years.
