Teams with the Best Fixtures in Gameweek 8

We take a look at the teams with the best fixtures in Gameweek 8. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can access the fixture ticker. With that we adjust the schedule to see which teams have the easiest and toughest in any given Gameweek.

Fixture difficulty plays a huge part in how FPL managers navigate the schedule. Knowing which teams have the best fixtures in Gameweek 8 can help to determine which teams we invest in and which players we choose in our team.

Gameweek 8 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures whilst the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Who tops the ticker?

Surprising to some it’s Everton that sit at the top of the ticker this week. The Toffees lost their first four matches. But, with two draws and one win in their last three games, their form seems to be on an uphill trajectory.

Newly promoted side Ipswich lay ahead for Everton which could mean a good opportunity for their defensive and offensive assets. The Tractor Boys have failed to win any of their matches so far this season and that form could continue this week.

Who else makes the top three?

Joining Everton in the top three this week is Leicester. The Foxes lost two of their first three matches. However, similarly to Everton, they too have improved recently – winning one, drawing two and losing just one of their last four games.

Filling up the top three is Southampton. Interestingly, they clash with fellow promoted side Leicester mentioned above this week. The Saints have really struggled since returning from the Championship and have in fact lost all but one of their seven matches.

Other teams with good fixtures

Ipswich also sit amongst the four ranked sides on the ticker. Bizarrely all four teams at the top of the ticker face each other. Ipswich are still in the hunt for their first Premier league win of the season and a fixture against Everton could be a good opportunity to make that happen.

Another side who have a lovely fixture on paper this week is Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou’s side have won three and lost three of their matches so far so go into their meeting with West Ham in mixed form. But, based on the Hammers inconsistencies this campaign, Tottenham should have potential.

Arsenal squeeze into the top six, a side who should arguably rank higher on the ticker this week. The Gooners sit third in the Premier League and remain unbeaten in their early matches. They travel to the Vitality stadium in Gameweek 8 and face a Bournemouth side who have lost three of their last four matches.

Which teams should we avoid?

Sitting rock bottom on the fixture ticker is Chelsea. The Blues sit fourth in the league after a great start to their campaign. The issue is, or at least according to the ticker, is that they face Liverpool this week. Arne Slots men are top of the Premier League table and have won all but one of their league matches this season.

Wolves are another side who could have limited potential in Gameweek 8. Five losses on the bounce shows just how poor Wolves have been this season. We could see that total increase to six in the round ahead as they meet with second place Manchester City.

As already mentioned, Bournemouth face Arsenal this week which could be challenging. Arsenal are in fine form where-as the Cherries are not. The only saving grace that Bournemouth have is that they play the fixture at home.
