Teams with the Best Fixtures in Gameweek 6

Last modified date

We take a look at the teams with the best fixtures in Gameweek 6. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can access the fixture ticker. With that we adjust the schedule to see which teams have the easiest and toughest in any given Gameweek.

Fixture difficulty plays a huge part in how FPL managers navigate the schedule. Knowing which teams have the best fixtures in Gameweek 6 can help to determine which teams we invest in and which players we choose in our team.

Gameweek 6 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures whilst the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Who tops the ticker?

Aston Villa sit first on the fixture ticker for Gameweek 6. Unai Emery’s men go into the game with three consecutive wins in both the Premier League and Champions League. They face newly promoted side Ipswich away from home which could suggest potential at both ends of the pitch.

Who else makes the top three?

It has been a mixed start for the Cherries. Bournemouth have taken one win, one loss and two draws from their first four matches. However, the game ahead could be a brilliant opportunity to get three points on the board as they meet with a Southampton side who have lost all four of their matches.

A team who should arguably sit at the top of the ticker this week but sit third is Arsenal. Three wins and one draw suggests the Gooners have started their season as well as the previous campaign and a home match against Leicester could extend their very good early form.

Other teams with good fixtures

Nottingham Forest are another side who have caught eye. No side has managed to score more than one goal or take three points against them. It’ll be an interesting clash against Fulham but Nottingham Forest can take some confidence in the fact they host the Cottagers.

Tough sides seem to be an issue for the Bees this season after losing both of their games against Manchester City and Liverpool. However, they have also beaten both Crystal Palace and Southampton which could suggest they are much more comfortable against weaker opposition. Conveniently they face similar opposition in West Ham this week.

Southampton complete the top six sides with the easiest fixtures according to the ticker. As mentioned the Saints have failed to pick up a single point so far this season but a meeting with an inconsistent Bournemouth next up could change that.

Which teams should we avoid?

Amongst the bottom three sides on the fixture ticker for Gameweek 6 is Leicester. The Foxes are yet to win a match since returning to the top tier and that record could continue this week as they clash with 2023/24 title challengers.

Newcastle have started the season strongly – winning three of their first four matches. That may be the case but a fixture against Manchester City will be their biggest challenge yet. The only positive they can take from the fixture is that it will be played at home, a venue they have been considerably stronger at historically.

Meanwhile Manchester City also take their place amongst the bottom three sides. Newcastle may have taken nine points from a possible 12 so far but they have done so unconvincingly. Stopping Manchester City is going to be difficult but you wouldn’t back against them scoring at home based on current form.
