Gameweek 1 Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures whilst the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.
Who tops the ticker?
Liverpool rank at the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 1. The Reds didn’t quite challenge for the title last season towards the latter stages but they were one of the best sides in the division.
They have an interesting fixture in the opening game where they will face newly promoted side Ipswich. The Tractor Boys managed back-to-back promotions in the last two seasons but even a home match isn’t enough to prevent it being a huge opportunity for the Liverpool assets.
Who else makes the top three?
Newcastle sit second highest on the ticker as they face newly promoted side Southampton. The Magpies were considerably stronger at home last season which is where they play in Gameweek 1. Southampton failed to convince as a title contender in the Championship last season but fought their way back to the top tier via the play-offs.
Promoted sides appear to be the best to target, or at least according to the fixture ticker. Tottenham assets could also have big potential in the opening round as they face promoted side Leicester. The Foxes secured first place in the Championship last season so could pose the biggest challenge to their opposition this week.
Other teams with good fixtures
Arsenal are also amongst the top five teams with the easiest fixtures in the first round. The Gooners finished second in the league last season and maintained the best defence so a meeting with Wolves could mean huge potential for their assets.
One team hoping to continue their 23/24 form is Aston Villa who ended up in fourth place last season. Unai Emery has a good first test away from home as they clash with a West Ham side under new management.
Manchester United should also be given some consideration according to the fixture ticker. The Reds were mostly inconsistent last season and they come up against Fulham but at Old Trafford.
Which teams should we avoid?
Whilst knowing who the best teams to invest in is crucial, we should also consider which teams to avoid. One of those teams could be Wolves who sit right at the pit of the fixture ticker due to a meeting with potential title challengers Arsenal.
Chelsea sit second from bottom of the ticker. The Blues come up against 23/24 Premier League champions Manchester City. Manchester City were defensively vulnerable at times last season so some could decide to stick with the Chelsea attacking options until their schedule eases.
Southampton make up the remainder of the bottom three teams with the toughest fixtures. Newcastle may have been inconsistent defensively but offensively they were one of the best in the league last season.
