Teams with the best first five fixtures

We take a look at the teams with the best first five fixtures in the upcoming 23/24 campaign. With the help of the Fantasy Football Scout and its fantastic members area we utilise the season ticker to identify teams with the easiest fixtures at the start of the season.

Looking at the teams with the best first five fixtures can be really important for FPL managers. Fixtures can help with building a first team draft, putting a captaincy plan together, chips and when to use them and lots of other areas to help us succeed in the season ahead.

Arsenal

Arsenal sit near the top of the fixture ticker to start the season. After a brilliant campaign in 22/23 which saw them challenge for the title, their assets could be come some of the most attractive to start the season with. They face Nottingham Forest (home), Crystal Palace (away), Fulham (home), Man United (home) and Everton (away) in their first five fixtures.

Some managers could be considering the likes of midfielders Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka who all had fantastic 22/23 FPL campaigns.

Manchester City

The 22/23 champions will be coming into the the new season as heavy favourites. Considering Manchester City dominated the majority of the key offensive data last campaign, their assets will be some of the most investable to start the season with.

It also helps that Manchester City have some great starting fixtures. They face Burnley (away), Newcastle (home), Sheffield United (away), Fulham (home) and West Ham (away). Manchester City will be expected to take points from all of their first five opponents.

Brighton

Brighton are another team whom had a very strong 22/23 season. Their players became some of the best assets in their game. This was largely due to their strong underlying data and budget price-tags. Managers could be adding some of the Brighton names to their shortlists as we speak.

In their first five matches Brighton face matches against Luton (home), Wolves (away), West Ham (home), Newcastle (home) and Man United (away). Although the latter two matches could be seen as tough, Brighton proved they could get results from tough opposition last season.

Everton

Everton showed fighting spirit towards the latter stages of last season under manager Sean Dyche. These performances helped them to avoid relegation, but it was not convincing. The Toffees face Fulham (home), Aston Villa (away), Wolves (home), Sheffield United (away) and Arsenal (home).

Everton have some great starting fixtures until they meet Arsenal in Gameweek 6. However, it could be wise to monitor their transfer window before making any plans to invest. It could also be worth monitoring their start to the season.
