Teams to target on unlimited transfers

The unlimited transfer window is active. So FPL managers setting up their squads for the festive period and beyond. Here we take a look at who are the best teams for FPL managers to target whilst on unlimited transfers.

The Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker is a go to resource for FPL managers. Members are able to change the rankings of the fixture, delete gameweeks as well as sort the fixtures by difficulty, home and away and defence and attack.

During the unlimited transfer window the fixture ticker is a perfect resource for FPL managers wanting to target the upcoming weeks.

The Fixture Ticker is a great place for managers to start looking at who are the best teams to target over a period of matches.

Man City

Man City are scheduled to play two double gameweeks in January.

Their Double Gameweek 20 fixture against Spurs could be rearranged again if either side needs a replay in the FA Cup third round. However, on paper Man City have two additional Premier League matches over most clubs between Gameweek 17 and 23. This makes them a great team to target.

The additional fixtures mean that Man City have the potential to return extra FPL points as they will play more minutes. However, this also means more chance of rotation. Managers should look to heavily invest in Man City, however also be prepared to swap around their City assets depending on team news ahead of FPL deadlines.

Chelsea

Like Man City, Chelsea also have a double gameweek. The Blues play twice in Gameweek 19, however their second fixture against Fulham is after their FA Cup match against Man City. There is therefore a whole week and a fixture between the two matches.

FPL managers should therefore be aware when investing in Chelsea that there is a risk that their players may not play twice in the gameweek as a result of the FA Cup match in the middle.

Alongside the Double Gameweek the Chelsea fixtures are attractive. Therefore FPL managers should keep an ear out for injury returns for the likes of Kepa and Reece James as they could be good buys during the transfer window.

Arsenal

As with Man City and Chelsea, Arsenal also have a double gameweek scheduled. The Gunners will play twice in Gameweek 23. Alongside the double gameweek Arsenal also have an attractive fixture run and where in great form heading into the World Cup. Arsenal will be wanting to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League and therefore the motivation alongside the fixtures makes them a team to target.

Best of the rest

Fulham and Spurs both benefit from a double gameweek, although they contain tough fixtures. Fulham play Chelsea and Leicester in theirs, whilst Spurs have Arsenal and Man City for theirs. Both sides have had some great FPL assets so far in the likes of Andreas, Mitrovic and Kane. They will likely still be targetable on unlimited transfers.

Southampton could be a good opportunity for managers. The Saints should benefit from some new manager bounce come Gameweek 17 and beyond. This coupled with great fixtures as well as the majority of the team being well rested over the World Cup could make them good differentials.
