Team Reveal GW37 – Which Double Gameweek options appeal to FPL Inzaghi?
Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 37, it’s the turn of FPL Inzaghi to tell us what they are doing to their team.
Hi FPL Inzaghi and thanks for the team reveal. Firstly, how did Gameweek 36 go?
I finished on 103 points, with a four-point hit and a small red arrow from 92k to 108k. It’s disappointing to fall outside of the top 100k but it was always going to be a tough week with 35% of the top 10k deploying their Bench Boost chip – many of whom owned and captained four-goal Kevin De Bruyne.
Despite owning Son Heung-min, Mount Mount, Eddie Nketiah and Joao Cancelo – all of whom scored double digits – a captain blank from Mohamed Salah was the difference between a green and a red arrow.
Secondly, do you like your current squad? Who is a player you’d like to own but don’t?
I’ve been chipless since Gameweek 30, so have had to manage my squad without over-committing to any particular round. It’s disappointing to see Philippe Coutinho and Jean-Philippe Mateta fall victim to rotation – something I expect to continue in Gameweek 37 but I’d counted on them as doublers for this Gameweek. Despite this, the squad looks ok, with solid single games for Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs.
The three players I’d most like to own in Double Gameweek 37 are Richarlison, Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Pickford. Thankfully I already own Richarlison, so that makes Zaha and Pickford my main targets.
So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 37 and beyond?
I had originally planned to hold Aaron Ramsdale but Arsenal just cannot keep clean sheets at the minute and, with further injuries, to their back line, the chances of a clean sheet have reduced further. I really like Zaha as a potential captain option this week and am keen to bring him into my team. However as Mount has a nice Gameweek 38 fixture versus Watford, I might sell Coutinho to Zaha if I feel like the former’s rotation will continue.
And finally, what about captaincy?
This week, captaincy is wide open. It’s a great chance to captain a differential to try and make up ground.
At this stage, Richarlison has the armband. Salah comes close but recent rotation has caused concern and I’ll need to re-assess his expected minutes post-cup final on the weekend.
