FPL Gameweek 30 Team Selection

Not sure what to do in the new round ahead? Well don’t panic, millions of managers have the same problem every week. To help with that we brought in our expert @FPLMarcJ to share his FPL Gameweek 30 Team Selection.
Team Reveal
It was their fourth successful shutout in seven matches, so I’m fine with having both Gabriel and David Raya. Over at Crystal Palace, Daniel Munoz feels like a cheat code right now and so will anyone about to face Southampton – a maverick captain, perhaps?
I sold Trent Alexander-Arnold for Blank Gameweek 29 and believe Ola Aina could keep a clean sheet versus Man United. After all, they’ve just done so at home to Arsenal, Man City and Brighton.
Cole Palmer seems ready to return, just like team-mate Nicolas Jackson. Having the forward around tends to bring better Palmer numbers, though it should be noted that he still had plenty of shots versus Southampton and Leicester. It’s not like Jackson’s absence made him miss that penalty!

Call it foolishness, but I think Palmer will score past Tottenham. He racked up 18 points in their December meeting and Spurs seem to be prioritising the Europa League.
Elsewhere, owning two Bournemouth attackers at home to Ipswich feels very nice. I love owning the world-class Alexander Isak, though I think opponent Bryan Mbeumo will do well at St James’ Park. He bagged 13 points in the reverse clash and it’s a very gettable defence.
In terms of transfer plans the question is about Chris Wood. Ruled out of Saturday’s FA Cup game, hopefully we receive an update before the FPL deadline.
I really, really want to Wildcard, in all honesty. It’s a chance to get Haaland at home to Leicester, plus some more Crystal Palace coverage. Let out some rage after the shocking Gameweek 29. But, as seen above, my current XI looks good.
The other plan was to roll this transfer before Gameweek 31’s Wildcard – maybe a compromise is to buy Omar Marmoush or Jean-Philippe Mateta for Wood. One of these, plus Evanilson versus Ipswich, is a handy way to counter Haaland. I’m also a fan of Ismaila Sarr, despite the miseries from previous ownership.
In regards to captaincy, even if I choose Marmoush to go head-to-head with Haaland in that Man City match, I’ll probably captain Mohamed Salah. He’ll have the EO numbers and I think some FPL managers are forgetting how constantly devastating the Egyptian is.
