Introduction
It’s a massive week coming up in Sky with plenty of transfers planned. In this article, I’ll review the gameweek just gone and look ahead to the weekend in Sky Fantasy Football, enjoy!
GW33 Review
It was very much a Gameweek of what could have been after Arsenal and Liverpool’s defeats ruined many managers ‘pile-ons’.
I made four transfers on Sunday, loading up on Arsenal assets. White, Gabriel, Saka and Rice all came in for Rodri, Haaland, Son and Romero. Arsenal play twice before City and Spurs are in action again so there’s still time for the transfers to pay off, although it wasn’t a great start.
Aside from the Arsenal disappointment, captain Haaland and Palmer hauled on Saturday and Monday respectively. Mac Allister’s eight points (passing and tackle tiers) were welcome and Solanke got on the scoresheet against Man United.
Overall, 116 points took me into the top 50 (47th). Yes, it could have been much better but I can’t complain. Now it’s just about finishing as high as possible!

GW34 Preview
It’s a bumper Gameweek with five deadlines over the next seven days. The weekend looks pretty straightforward for captaincy, I’ll be going Saka (wol) on Saturday and Salah (ful) on Sunday. There’s a case for Arsenal defence with them playing away from home but I’m not sure I want to have an effective quintuple-up on Arsenal defence!
Looking at the midweek fixtures, the captaincy is slightly trickier. Saka (CHE) v Palmer (ars) is a toss up for Tuesday. Salah (eve) looks good for Wednesday but Merseyside derbies are typically low-scoring and Man United play Sheffield Utd at home. Thursday, as long as he starts, it’s Haaland (bha). That fixture cannot move now Man City are out of the UCL.
Moving onto transfers. First and foremost, Haaland will be coming back in if he’s in the team. Saka will make way. After that, there’s lots of moves under consideration. Bruno Fernandes is really tempting me for Man United’s home games against Sheffield United and Burnley, followed by their single gameday against Crystal Palace. Wednesday night is also the ideal entry point for Newcastle. Isak and Schar are potential buys, however, Anthony Gordon at just £7.8m saves crucial money (especially if I buy Bruno). Matheus Cunha at £7.2m is also a great shout for those looking for an enabler with an extra fixture.
Thanks for reading and good luck for GW34. Remember to finalise your teams and set your captains before Saturday’s 12.30 pm deadline and don’t forget the midweek fixtures!
