Should I buy Salah in FPL?

As we approach the latter stages of the season, managers will be looking for ways to differentiate from the template to gain an edge. One of the ways we could do this is to look to premium players. So, should I buy Salah in FPL?

Fixtures

Below we can see teams ordered at the top with the best fixtures. We can also see teams at the bottom with the worst fixtures. Focusing on Liverpool. They rank first on the fixture ticker for having the best fixtures from now until the end of the season.

The Reds play in blank Gameweek 32, have a double Gameweek in 34 and have great fixtures in and around those rounds. This is an early indicator that investing in Liverpool could be hugely beneficial.

The Liverpool attack

This season amongst all teams in the league Liverpool rank fifth best for goals scored (48), third best for attempts on goal (428), third for shots in the box (311), second for big chances total (85) and fourth best for shots on target (150).

More recently in the last six matches Liverpool rank third for goals scored (12), third for big chances total (20) and joint third for shots on target (31). Both sets of data suggest Liverpool are maintaining some great attacking stats this season and so could be worthy of investment.

Salah has maintained very good attacking stats this season.

Yes. Liverpool have some fantastic fixtures ahead. The Reds have also been sustaining some solid offensive stats this season. Salah may not be having his best season but his numbers are still good. With a great run of fixtures ahead Salah could have huge potential from now until the end of the season.
