Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 9
Italian League football continues and with that so does the fantasy football game. With that in mind we take a look at the Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 9 with the help of our expert and regular contributor @FPL_Crisk.
The Twitter community is full of some of the best fantasy managers in the world so catching up with our experts Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 9 could be crucial. Knowing which players have the most potential could help confirm decisions in our own teams as we head towards the deadline.
Goalkeepers – Wladimiro Falcone (€4.4m – 6.1%)
His price dropped a few Rounds ago, which makes the Lecce goalie more accessible at a very cheap price. He now defends the posts against Udinese, one of the worst teams in the league at converting chances (already 6.5 goals under their xG), which could lead to easy save points.
Yann Sommer (€5.0m – 22.1%)
The nailed first choice goalkeeper from the best defence in the league still valued at only 5.0m feels too good to be true. Torino haven’t created a lot of xG recently, so Sommer could be an easy choice especially for Wildcarders.
Defenders – Nikola Milenkovic (€5.0m – 10.1%)
Every single week I have picked a goalkeeper/defender from the team which faces Empoli. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Empoli have only scored once in the league, and only against an equally bad team in Salernitana. Milenkovic is my choice from Fiorentina. He’s the most likely to play and last for the full 90 minutes on the pitch.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.2m – 35.7%)
He’s played every single minute in the league. So, even if he hasn’t got a Serie A attacking return since Round 2, he remains a top tier choice. Verona away will be a tense game. However, with Napoli’s defence finally at their best with the return of Rrahmani, I can see them keeping the clean sheet
Midfielders – Kvicha Kvaratskhelia (€12.2m – 30.8%)
Speaking of Napoli, Osimhen’s injury will be a thorn in their side. For this reason Kvara needs to step up his game and carry Napoli’s offence in the next few weeks. He also has a lot to prove, as he’s only scored once for Napoli since March.
Nicolás González (€6.8m – 25.6%)
Despite his minutes being very inconsistent due to Italiano’s massive rotation, the Argentinian winger is in great form. He ranks as the third best goal scorer in the league with five goals, three of which in the last three consecutive games.
Forwards – Lautaro Martinez (€11.2m – 53.2%)
I mean, it shouldn’t be up to me to let you know Lautaro is a must-own, right? The numbers speak for themselves. He’s bagged 10 goals already in the league, and fantasy wise he’s 15 points above the second best player (Danilo) and over 20 points above anybody else.
Joshua Zirkzee (€5.0m – 11.1%)
Many people think that this will finally be Zirkzee’s breakout season. He’s nailed as the main Bologna centre-forward, but the main reason he makes my top picks is that after the draw against Inter, Bologna’s head coach Thiago Motta revealed that Zirkzee is their main penalty taker despite Orsolini taking the one in that game.
