Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 6
Italian League football continues and with that so does the fantasy football game. With that in mind we take a look at the Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 6 with the help of our expert and regular contributor @FPL_Crisk.
The Twitter community is full of some of the best fantasy managers in the world so catching up with our experts Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 6 could be crucial. Knowing which players have the most potential could help confirm decisions in our own teams as we head towards the deadline.
Top picks – Goalkeepers – Alex Meret (€6.0m – 7.4%)
Napoli, despite a disappointing 0-0 at Bologna, had an impressive defensive performance allowing the home team only 0.18 xG. They now host Udinese, who have only scored once in five games, making Meret a solid option in terms of clean sheet points.
Lorenzo Montipò (€4.6m – 12.6%)
Atalanta is not an easy fixture for Verona, but Montipò has way more to offer than the clean sheets. His consistent amount of saves in each game has put him as second place for points between goalkeepers, granting him a price rise. He really seems like a fixture-proof player, scoring less than six points in only one of the five Rounds we’ve played until now.
Defenders – Fikayo Tomori (€5.4m – 8.4%)
With Theo Hernandez out of the Verona game due to injury, Tomori now stands out as the most nailed player in Milan’s backline. After the Derby disaster Milan has managed to keep two consecutive clean sheets, and a third one could be on their way when they travel to Cagliari on Wednesday night.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.4m – 32.0%)
Napoli’s attack didn’t fire against Bologna, Osimhen missed a penalty and Kvara hasn’t scored since March. Di Lorenzo, however, has kept his great form, scoring in the Champions League and actually profiting from the solid defensive performance in Bologna.
Miidfielders – Ademola Lookman (€8.6m – 13.3%)
Last year he costed 3m less but, with him being an out of position player in a very offensive team, he is still worth the money. He’s scored in both the last two league games, and with Scamacca injured he should be guaranteed enough gametime to reward owners.
Rafael Leao (€11.0m – 60.0%)
He needed to shake off the bad UCL performance, and he did so by scoring against Verona. The Portuguese winger has been world class for years now, but it seems his goalscoring record keeps on improving season after season. Against Cagliari he could score for a fourth consecutive Serie A game, which would be a first for him.
Forwards – Marcus Thuram (€7.0m – 14.5%)
To be honest, I got tired of always suggesting Lautaro Martinez as the Inter forward to go. But Thuram really seems to have picked up his form. He scored against Fiorentina and Milan, and had one ruled out against Empoli. During the month of September he’s topped the Serie A for xG with a value of 2.86, more than doubling the xG of Lautaro (1.36).
Lorenzo Colombo (€5.0m – 0.6%)
With both Bekeuma and Posch subbed out due to injury and thus unlikely to make the midweek game, I really think that Monza’s attacking players could do very well when hosting Bologna. To put things into perspective Monza is fourth in the league in terms of xG, and Colombo has already shown last season that he can be a clinical striker when the team needs him the most.
