Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 10
Round 9 is over. We saw Khvicha Kvaratskhelia return with a bang scoring two for Napoli to win. We also saw wins from Juventus against Milan, Bologna edge Frosinone, Lazio beat Sassuolo and Fiorentina take a shock defeat to Empoli. Now we look to our expert @FPL_Crisk to provide us with the Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 10.
Knowing the Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 10 can be vital. It can be difficult to separate recent performances to upcoming potential. This is where our expert helps to bring clarity to that. These picks can also help with both transfers and captaincy decisions.
Goalkeepers – Wojciech Szczesny (€5.0m – 27.0%)
The lack of Danilo has not prevented Juventus from keeping a full clean sheet in Milan. One would assume that a home game against the lowest xG team in the league (Verona) shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Juventus’ backline.
Stefano Turati (€4.0m – 9.6%)
Frosinone have been kind of a surprise package this season. They are only two points away from the European slots. Turati is the cheapest viable goalkeeper in the game, and a trip away to Cagliari should at least result in 6+ points.
Defenders – Giorgio Scalvini (€4.8m – 26.9%)
Despite Empoli having just beaten Fiorentina, I don’t think visiting them should be much of an issue for Atalanta. Scalvini has been very reliable this season. He’s also a centre-back who tends to have the most amount of chances to score.
Luca Caldirola (€4.6m – 1.8%)
Udinese are having a lot of trouble this season. They are also in the progress of changing their head coach. Hosting them always assures a high chance of a clean sheet, and out of all Monza defenders, not only is Caldirola nailed to play the full game, but he is also known for surprise bullet headers..
Midfielders – Ederson (€5.0m – 12.9%)
I was not expecting to ever have this name as a top pick, but somehow Ederson is now the highest scoring midfielder in the game. Three goals already (more than the two scored in his breakout season at Salernitana), very nailed and with Koopmeiners just recovered from injury one would bet that the Dutch won’t be able to play the full 90 minutes.
Matias Soule (€4.4m – 2.5%)
Speaking of breakthrough prospect, the Juventus loanee is having the run of a lifetime since nailing himself at right wing for Frosinone. The penalty taken against Verona might be a little bit of a red herring (Harroui is still injured while Cheddira had just been subbed off). However, he’s by far the most dangerous threat in his teams attack, both in terms of xG (0.51 per 90) and xA (0.45 per 90).
Forwards – Dusan Vlahovic (€9.2m – 25.9%)
Against Milan he didn’t have a lot of minutes, with Juventus mainly defending the 0-1. Nevertheless the Serbian striker had a couple of good chances to score. He’s definitely going to start and most importantly he’s due a couple of goals very soon (boasting an incredible 0.87 xG per 90 in about 460 minutes).
Marcus Thuram (€7.0m – 18.7%)
Third best performer in the game, only behind his teammates Lautaro and Sommer. During the midweek, he was rested for the UCL clash against Salzburg so expect him to be fresh and ready to be decisive against a Dybala-less (injury) and Mourinho-less (suspension) Roma.
