Notes

  • It’s a tricky Round to navigate, with the Milan Derby and Napoli facing Juventus. For this reason I feel like I have to jump on the Retegui bandwagon. I feel like he’s the most reliable Atalanta attacker while also being safer from rotation than the likes of Lookman and De Ketelaere.
  • Dallinga was a bet which didn’t work out, so it is time for him to make space for an actual pick.

Notes

  • I hit 130 points in round 4.
  • Round 5 will be very tricky and interesting, many highly owned players face each other (Milan Derby, Juventus vs Napoli and Lazio vs Fiorentina). So, I’m not expecting many hauls as I own nine players from these three games.
  • My target this round will be Atalanta players. My transfer out will be one of Kean, Ederson, GDL (my transfer in will be one of: Retegui, Lookman, Djimsiti) because they have excellent run of fixtures.
  • I still haven’t decided the captaincy but I’m 90% sure it will be Coco.

Notes

  • This week is a very awkward week to navigate. Juventus, Napoli, Inter, Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina all play each other which isn’t ideal. It is worth mentioning though that all those teams have good fixtures after the games this week so in most cases selling their assets may not be worth while.
  • Europe has officially begun which means we have to consider if certain assets are worth keeping. Will Yildiz start every game or will he be rotated in and out whilst blocking me from adding a second Juventus defender? Will Lautaro be rotated? If so is he actually worth the money? Will a new Roma manager mean Soule breaks into the starting XI again? These are all questions I don’t know the answers to yet.
  • Rolling transfers could be a good move this week to find out some answers to the above. Although, bringing in an Atalanta attacker, Lookman, Retegui or both seems like a good move with their fixtures ahead. But, they also have Europe coming up, so how will affect their assets for gametime? Again, there are plenty of things to think about this week.
  • I want Retegui, he’s cheap and in form. To make this happen I may well sell Kean this week. I have €1.4m in the bank currently. If I did this I would have to play a 4-3-3, which could mean leaving out Theo Hernandez against Inter.
  • Alternatively, I could sell Lautaro, keep Kean, bring in Retegui and upgrade Yildiz to Lookman. That way I would have double Atalanta attack and give me the option of bringing in a second Juventus defender eventually without having to make two moves. This of course would mean not having Lautaro or any Inter attacker, a position I’m not sure I want to be in.
  • Captaincy is likely to be Coco this week. Although, if I brought in Retegui it may become him.
  • I’m also debating between Suzuki and Sommer between the sticks.
  • Good luck! We all need it this week.
