Serie A Fantasy Round 4 Top Picks

Last modified date

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 4 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the second round of campaign.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – Yann Sommer (€7.2m – 15.6%)

Already the highest scoring goalkeeper, proving why he’s worth the high price-tag. A fixture against the team with the lowest xG in the league can be good to keep up the positive trend of the last two Rounds.

Mike Maignan (€6.0m – 11.1%)

Milan have looked anything but solid during these first few games. Nevertheless, Venezia at home is probably the easiest fixture in the League, and Maignan’s performances have still been as good as they could get. For the most superstitious of you, I will be at San Siro, and Milan have never lost at home with me in the stands.

Defenders – Andrea Cambiaso (€5.6m – 24.0%)

With Conceicao injured and Nico Gonzalez in doubt, Cambiaso could play his third consecutive game at RW. Empoli away is far from the worst fixture in order to keep a clean sheet too: Cambiaso could be captaincy material.

Alessandro Buongiorno (€6.6m – 15.5%)

After a disastrous start in Verona, Conte’s Napoli seem to have picked their pace back up. In the last two rounds, only a penalty by Bonny has managed to get past Meret. Cagliari at home could be very good for Napoli defenders, who will get better week after week under Conte.

Midfielders – Rafael Leao (€11.0m – 33.2%)

For better or for worse, he’s been at the centre of attention in the last few weeks. Either way, he found the net after a few seconds against Lazio, and with rumours of a rest looming over Pulisic, Leao seems the player to go for out of Milan’s midfield.

Kenan Yildiz (€4.8m – 38.0%)

I still can’t believe how he was priced so low. His start of the season was ok, with two assists, but he’s bound to do more. With Koopmeiners now available, he could also return to his natural LW position..

Forwards – Romelu Lukaku (€10.0m – 2.3%)

Lukaku is just another kind of player under Antonio Conte, with his two best seasons being with Inter under the management of the Italian coach. Last round this effect was pretty much evident: about 30 minutes was all it took for the Belgian to return to score. He’s also refused the national team call-up in order to stay at Napoli and get back to maximum match fitness, so stay sure he’s focused to get back at his best..

Ange-Yoan Bonny (€4.4m – 5.2%)

A big surprise last week was the fact that Bonny took the penalty kick for Parma, and not Dennis Man. This makes the young French striker a much more appealing option, especially for his price. Udinese have just lost their best defender (Perez) and tend to concede a lot, so I would bet on Parma overall for this Round.
