Serie A Fantasy Round 38 Top Picks

After some interesting twists and turns in the latest round we look ahead. There are some great fixtures to attack this week. So, we bring in our regular contributor @FPL_Crisk to reel off his Serie A Fantasy Round 38 Top Picks.

@FPL_Crisk has become one of the most respected and seasoned managers in the world. Because of this checking out his Serie A Fantasy Round 38 Top Picks could be extremely beneficial, not just for the round fixtures ahead but also for long-term planning.

Goalkeepers – Alex Meret (€6.2m – 7.7%)

Torino have a difficult away game against Atalanta, and Fiorentina will likely preserve their team for the UECL final. Napoli still have a viable way into European competitions next season, but they first need an home win against an already safe and very defensive Lecce side. With Osimhen’ condition clearer only a few days from now, I think Meret is the most solid option out of Napoli.

Mile Svilar (€4.4m – 2.0%)

Atalanta’s UEL final against Leverkusen will decide Roma’s fate for next season. If the never-losing German Champions end up victorious, Roma will play in the Europa League no matter what next season. If Atalanta brings the trophy home, there is a chance for Roma to play in the Champions League, as long as Atalanta stay 5th and Roma defend 6th place from Lazio. In order to do so, they need a draw against Empoli, which makes Roma’s backline very useful.

Defenders – Gianluca Mancini (€6.0m – 21.2%)

As I was saying, Roma defenders have a very high ceiling mostly for two reasons. Empoli is one of the worst teams offensively, and in the best case scenario Roma only need a draw to put themselves in the best possible position. Mancini was rested last Round, so I’m expecting him to feature in the last game of the season.

Alessio Romagnoli (€5.8m – 12.2%)

Another player who didn’t feature last Round, this time due to suspension. Lazio face a relegated Sassuolo side, so they are one of the best teams to target for this last fixture of the season.

Midfielders – Christian Pulisic (€9.2m – 41.2%)

Most teams have nothing left to play for, and could rotate quite a bit. However, with Chukwueze out with an injury, the RW position at AC Milan should easily remain occupied by Pulisic for the better part of their home match against bottom of the table Salernitana.

Matias Soulé (€5.0m – 23.2%)

Frosinone have to keep Udinese quiet in order to be sure of playing in Serie A next season. Still, I’m not expecting them to play a fully defensive game, as last round they actually went with a more offensive approach. Soulé deserves a final return to coronate a wonderful rookie season.

Forwards – Olivier Giroud (€9.0m – 39.2%)

This will be Giroud’s last game with AC Milan’s colours. An emotional farewell for the French striker, which he likely want to make more memorable with at least a goal.

Lautaro Martinez (11.8m – 75.4%)

This is an appreciation pick for Lautaro, who will end up being the only forward in the top 10 players for this fantasy season. He hasn’t scored a lot as of late and despite all of that, he still managed to outclass all other forwards by a long margin.
