With Serie A Fantasy Round 37 on the horizon it could be hugely beneficial to catch up with our expert. His knowledge and decisions could be extremely enlightening to other fantasy managers. This same knowledge could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.
Introduction
Welcome back to my Serie A Fantasy Round 37 team reveal. If you are new here, through this article, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW in Serie A Fantasy.
Now, let us look at my GW36 team first. There I ended up with 81 points with a GW average of 65 points. It was a small green arrow that took me from 240th to 207th worldwide and still 2nd in Germany after GW36.
Looking ahead to GW37 we have some nice games for teams like Atalanta, Sassuolo and Roma.
Round 37 Team Reveal (subject to change)
Goalkeeper
- Marco Carnesecchi (€5.4m) – Carnesecchi starts his second week in row for me in goal. Another reason for going with him is keeping in mind the DGW for Atalanta that is still yet to be scheduled. He has played on and off this season. However, he has now finally gained the trust of Gasperini as he has started in the last seven Serie A games for Atalanta. He boasts eight double-digit hauls so far and given that the Atalanta defence have tightened up, we can expect him to do well in the remaining fixtures. Carnesecchi is currently only owned by 5% of Serie A Fantasy managers and faces Lecce away from home in GW37.
Defenders
- Gleison Bremer (€6.4m) – My first defender in GW37 will be Bremer from Juventus. He still sits at the top of the defenders for points with 266. Bremer scored in GW35 vs Roma which also meant he got his 12th double-digit haul of the season. Now, looking forward, Juventus have Bologna up next and I would like to think that Bremer does well in that game. This is especially given that Bologna have now secured UCL football for next season and might just ease up.
- Danilo (€ 6.6m) – He will be my second defender for GW37. In Danilo Juventus have a player who has been nothing but reliable in terms of consistent performances. Danilo has formed a lethal partnership with Bremer and co in the heart of the Juventus defence. Juventus will be full of confidence winning the Coppa Italia vs Atalanta and keeping a clean sheet. As previously mentioned, Juventus are up against Bologna and I am expecting a clean sheet from the side from Turin.
- Neheun Perez (€4.2m) – My third defender this week is going to be Perez from Udinese. Perez and Udinese kept their first clean sheet in nine GWs vs Lecce in GW36. Udinese have looked good defensively of late and given that they will be playing an out of form Empoli in GW37, I do expect Perez to do well yet again.
- Raoul Bellanova (€5.2m) – And last but not least, my fourth defender this week is going to be Bellanova from Torino. Torino are a side known to be miserly in defence. That shows this season as only three teams have conceded lower goals than them in the league. Bellanova has been a revelation for Torino this season getting a goal and six assists so far from the RB/RWB position. I will be expecting more of the same from Bellanova and Torino in GW36 when they face Milan at home.
Midfielders
- Rafael Leao (€11.8m) – My first midfielder this GW will be Rafael Leao from AC Milan. He came into the team as a late transfer in GW35. Even though he did not start the game against Cagliari in GW36, he came on and got a goal and assist to get me 26 points as captain. I expect Leao to end the season strong and this time I expect Pioli to start Leao vs Torino in GW37. He is again a viable captaincy option this week in Serie A Fantasy.
- Albert Gudmundsson (€6.2m) – Gudmundsson has been one of the league’s revelations this year with 14 goals and three assists in just 35 games for Genoa. He sits second in the most points list for midfielders in Serie A Fantasy just behind Pulisic. At just 6.2M, he is an absolute bargain. Genoa will be playing Roma in GW37 and the hope is Gudmundsson will get something out of the game in terms of Fantasy points.
- Roberto Pereyra (€6.2m) – Pereyra comes in for me as the fourth Mid in GW37. As previously mentioned, Udinese have a great fixture at home vs Empoli. Pereyra was rested in GW36 so the presumption is he will be starting this juicy fixture in GW37. He has four goals and three assists so far in an injured laden season. But, I am hoping he starts the game vs Empoli and puts in a shift.
Forwards
- Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m) – Martinez has looked a level above everyone else this season in Serie A given he has 24 goals and three assists in just 36 games for Inter. He has had a bit of a regression in terms of goal scoring not having found the back of the net in his last 7 games but he finally came good in GW36. There he came on as a substitute and scored and assisted to make it eight double-digit hauls in Serie A Fantasy this season. Inter will be up against a resurgent Lazio team but at home, Inter are very strong and I do expect them to win the game.
- Victor Osimhen (€12.6m) – My second forward for this week is Osimhen who is fully back in form now with eight goals and two assists in his last 12 games. He was on the scoresheet in GW35 against Udinese and even though he did not score in GW36 I do expect him to come good and get a few attacking returns in GW37.
- Andrea Pinamonti (€6.2m) – My third forward this GW is going to be Pinamonti. He is also my transfer in this week. Pinamonti has 11 goals and one assist in the season and can be considered a vital cog in how Sassuolo play. He faces Cagliari at home and given his uptick in form I want at least a goal from Pinamonti in GW37.
Captaincy
- At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Rafael Leao for reasons I have mentioned above. Martinez and Bremer are also in the running for captaincy as things stand.
