Serie A Fantasy Round 35 Expert Team Reveal

Here we bring in one of our regular contributors and seasoned managers to provide you with his Serie A Fantasy Round 35 expert team reveal. @FplRossoneri is back to reveal his team and share his plans around transfers and captaincy.

With Serie A Fantasy Round 35 on the horizon it could be hugely beneficial to catch up with our expert. His knowledge and decisions could be extremely enlightening to other fantasy managers. This same knowledge could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome back to my Serie A Fantasy Round 35 expert team reveal. If you are new here, through this article, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW in Serie A Fantasy.

Now, let us look at my GW34 team first. I ended up with 98 points with a GW average of 65 points, It was a small green arrow that took me from 312th to 242nd worldwide and still 2nd in Germany after GW34.

Looking ahead to GW35 we have some nice games for teams like Atalanta, Inter and Napoli.

Round 35 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeeper

  • Yann Sommer (€5.8m) – Sommer is back in goal yet again as Inter have a decent matchup vs. Sassuolo in GW35. He still sits atop the list of GKs with the most points after GW33 with 12 double-digit hauls to boast in just 34 GWs. Sommer is still only owned by 28.6% of managers and if you are still looking for a solid GK till the end of the season then Sommer is your guy.

Defenders

  • Gleison Bremer (€6.2m) – My first defender in GW35 will be Bremer from Juventus. He still sits at the top of the defenders list with the most points for defenders with 249 points. Juventus have Roma coming up and I expect that to be a low-scoring affair. In the recent fixtures, they have been in relegation form but finally showed up and beat Fiorentina 1-0 in GW31 and drew 0-0 with Milan so the hope is that they continue with some of this newfound form in the coming games.
  • Stefan Posch (€4.6m) – My second defender will be Stefan Posch who was one of the transfer-ins a few weeks given he had a double GW. Bologna have a decent fixture in GW35 playing Torino away from home. Thus, I expect a good points return from him in GW35.
  • Danilo (€6.6m) – Another Juventus defender will make up my defence for GW35. In Danilo Juventus have a player who has been nothing but reliable in terms of consistent performances and I expect that to continue. Danilo has formed a lethal partnership with Bremer and co in the heart of the Juventus defence and given that Roma have some players missing through injury and the fact they play in midweek before GW35, I expect Juventus to get a clean sheet.
  • Raoul Bellanova (€5.2m) – And last but not least, my fourth defender this week is going to be Bellanova from Torino. Torino is a side known to be miserly in defence and it shows this season as only three teams have conceded lower goals than them in the league. Bellanova has been a revelation for Torino this season getting one goal and six assists so far from the RB/RWB position.

Midfielders

  • Riccardo Orsolini (€8m) – My first midfielder this GW will be Orsolini from Bologna. Orsolini is another one of those players who has thrived under Thiago Motta’s tutelage this season getting 10 goals and two assists so far. As mentioned earlier, Bologna have a good game in GW35 vs Torino and I am hoping that Orsolini has an impact on my Serie A Fantasy team.
  • Albert Gudmundsson (€6.2m) – Gudmundsson has been one of the league’s revelations this year with 14 goals and three assists in just 34 games for Genoa. He sits first now in the most points list for midfielders in Serie A Fantasy. At just 6.2M, he is an absolute bargain. Genoa will be playing Milan in GW35 and the hope is Gudmundsson will again get something out of the game in terms of Fantasy points.
  • Teun Koopmeiners (€7.6m) – Similar to Gundmundsson, Koopmeiners is having one of his best seasons at Atalanta this year scoring 11 goals and four assists in just 30 starts. Atalanta will be facing Salernitana in GW34 and given his form I expect some kind of fantasy return. He is again a viable captaincy option this GW.

Forwards

  • Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m) – Martinez has managed a huge 23 goals and two assists in just 34 games for Inter. He has had a bit of a regression in terms of goal scoring not having found the back of the net in his last six games but I feel this is the GW he scores again. It’s only the first time this season Lautaro has gone six GWs without being on the scoresheet. I also do feel now that Inter have wrapped up the League, players like Lautaro will play with more freedom and that will take some of the pressure off his shoulders.
  • Victor Osimhen (€12.6m) – My second forward for this week is Osimhen who is fully back in form now with seven goals and two assists in his last 11 games. He was not on the scoresheet in GW34 against Roma but I do expect him to come good when Napoli plays Udinese in GW35.
  • Duvan Zapata (€8m) – My third forward this GW is going to be Zapata who has come good for Torino after his move from Atalanta. He has 12 goals and four assists in the season and can be considered a vital cog in how Torino plays. He faces Bologna at home and given his uptick in form I expect at least a goal from Zapata in GW35.

Captaincy

At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Lautaro Martinez for reasons I have mentioned above. Koopmeiners and Osimhen are also in the running for captaincy as things stand.
