Serie A Fantasy Round 34 Expert Team Reveal
Here we bring in one of our regular contributors and seasoned managers to provide you with his Serie A Fantasy Round 34 expert team reveal. @FplRossoneri is back to reveal his team and share his plans around transfers and captaincy.
With Serie A Fantasy Round 34 on the horizon it could be hugely beneficial to catch up with our expert. His knowledge and decisions could be extremely enlightening to other fantasy managers. This same knowledge could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.
Introduction
Welcome back to my Serie A Fantasy Round 34 expert team reveal. I am back again after a short holiday to rest and recharge. If you are new here, through this article, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW in Serie A Fantasy.
Now, let us look at my GW33 team first. I ended up with 50 points with a GW average of 44 points. It was a small red arrow that took me from 287th to 312th worldwide and still 3rd in Germany after GW33.
Looking ahead to GW34 we have some nice games for teams like Atalanta and Lazio.
Round 34 Team Reveal (subject to change)
Goalkeeper
- Yann Sommer (€5.8m) – Sommer is back in goal yet again as Inter have a decent matchup vs. Torino at the San Siro. He still sits atop the list of GKs with the most points after GW33 with 11 double-digit hauls to boast in just 33 GWs. As mentioned Inter have Torino next who are traditionally better at home. So, I expect Inter to come away with a win and Sommer getting some good points. He is still only owned by 28.5% of managers. So, if you are still looking for a solid GK until the end of the season then Sommer is your guy.
Defenders
- Gleison Bremer (€6.2m) – My first defender in GW34 will be Bremer from Juventus. He still sits at the top of the defenders list with 239 points. Juventus have Milan coming up. There I expect that to be a low-scoring affair. In recent fixtures, they have been in relegation form but finally showed up and beat Fiorentina 1-0 in GW31. So, the hope is that they continue with some of this newfound form in the coming games.
- Stefan Posch (€4.6m) – My second defender will be Stefan Posch. Bologna have a decent fixture in GW34 playing Udinese at home. Because of that I expect a good points return from him in GW34.
- Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7m) – My last defender this week is Di Lorenzo. He came into my team last week given Napoli’s good fixtures. Unfortunately, Napoli as a team have not looked a shade of themselves from last year when they looked invincible. With Napoli playing Roma in Naples, I expect this game to be quite tight and could easily end goalless which would be great as a Di Lorenzo owner.
Midfielders
- Riccardo Orsolini (€8m) – My first midfielder this GW will be Orsolini from Bologna. He came into the team as a late transfer last week. Orsolini is another one of those players who has thrived under Thiago Motta’s tutelage this season. So far he has managed 10 goals and two assists. As mentioned earlier, Bologna have a great game in GW34 vs Udinese and I am hoping that Orsolini has an impact.
- Albert Gudmundsson (€6.2m) – Gudmundsson has been one of the league’s revelations this year with 13 goals and three assists in just 33 games for Genoa. He sits first now in the most points list for midfielders. At just 6.2M, he is an absolute bargain. Genoa will be playing Cagliari in GW34 and the hope is Gudmundsson will again get something out of the game.
- Teun Koopmeiners (€7.6m) – Similar to Gundmundsson, Koopmeiners is having one of his best seasons at Atalanta this year scoring 11 goals and four assists in just 29 starts. Atalanta face Empoli in GW34 and given his form I do expect some kind of fantasy return. He is also a viable captaincy option this GW.
- Roberto Pereyra (€6.2m) – My transfer this week is Pereyra who essentially has a DGW as last GW’s game vs Roma got postponed due to Ndicka’s heart scare (I wish him a speedy recovery). Serie A Fantasy officially confirmed that Pereyra’s goal vs Roma will be reinstated and the remaining game will be played out. This in theory means you effectively start the GW with eight points and a game in hand vs Bologna.
- Morten Frendrup (€4.6m) – My cheap enabler is Frendrup who is quietly going about his business at least from a fantasy perspective. He now has racked up 171 TBIs in just 33 games which is the highest in the league by 50 TBIs. Frendrup will be up against Cagliari in GW34 and I expect a load of TBI points again at the very least. He is also one of the few MIDs who has played almost every minute of the season.
Forwards
- Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m) – Martinez has 23 goals and two assists in just 33 games for Inter. He has had a bit of a regression in terms of goal scoring not having found the back of the net in his last five game. But, I feel this is the GW he scores again. It’s only the first time this season Lautaro has gone five GWs without being on the scoresheet. I also do feel now that Inter has wrapped up the League, players like Lautaro will play with more freedom and that will take some of the pressure off his shoulders.
- Victor Osimhen (€12.6m) – Last but by no means least, my second forward for this week is Osimhen who is fully back in form now with seven goals and two assists in his last 10 games. He was not on the scoresheet in GW33 against Empoli but I do expect him to come good when Napoli plays Roma in GW34.
Captaincy
At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Roberto Pereyra for reasons I have mentioned above. Koopmeiners is also in the running for captaincy as things stand.
