Serie A Fantasy Round 30 Top Picks
After some interesting twists and turns in the latest round we look ahead. There are some great fixtures to attack this week so we bring in our regular contributor @FPL_Crisk to reel off his Serie A Fantasy Round 30 Top Picks.
@FPL_Crisk has become one of the most respected and seasoned managers in the world. Because of this checking out his Serie A Fantasy Round 30 Top Picks could be extremely beneficial, not just for the round fixtures ahead but also for long-term planning.
Goalkeepers – Lukasz Skorupski (€5.0m – 17.0%)
Bologna have managed to keep a lot of clean sheets during the season, so Skorupski’ relatively low price is kind of surprising to me. Salernitana at home is the best overall fixture in the game, so the odds for a 9+ pointer are in the favour of his owners.
Mile Svilar (€4.4m – 1.3%)
One big takeaway from this week is the fact that leading top scorer Sommer has picked up an injury and might not feature in Inter’s game against Empoli. Having a strong backup might be very important, and Svilar is as good as it gets for his price. He is a starting GK from a strong and in form side, and up against one of the weakest attacks in the league.
Defenders – Gianluca Mancini (€5.8m – 17.1%)
He is the safest Roma defender when it comes to gametime. While waiting for updates regarding the conditions of Lukaku and Dybala, and with Pellegrini being suspended, doubling up on Roma’ backline is the best that we can do to profit from an extremely good fixture against Lecce.
Alessandro Buongiorno (€6.0m – 25.2%)
He didn’t get the full game last Round, but I’m hopeful this trend won’t continue. He is still the second best defender in the game despite missing a month out with injury. I think he can put on a very good performance despite Monza having been a little more productive as of late.
Midfielders – Albert Gudmundsson (€8.6m – 35.0%)
By the time you get to read this article, we’ll know whether the Icelandic wonderkid will have carried his national team to the EUROs. In the playoff semi-final, he dispatched Israel with a beautiful hattrick. Frosinone have managed just six points in their last 15 Serie A matches, and only three from 14 away matches overall, making them a really good target for Gudmundsson.
Riccardo Orsolini (€8.0m – 7.6%)
It’s too early to know whether Joshua Zirkzee will be available on Monday against Salernitana, so I guess for now the next best option is Orsolini. Despite not starting against Empoli (Motta seems to like him a lot as a super-sub sometimes) he still had a big-chance in the finale of the game. He’s also on most set pieces, with penalties included if the Dutch striker is indeed unavailable.
Forwards – Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m – 72.7%)
With nine Rounds left to play, Inter will need a perfect run to beat Juventus’ 102 point record in a single season. There are no extra-competitions left for the soon to be Champions, so expect them to go all out, starting from a home game against Empoli. With Easter on Sunday, the game will take place on Monday giving Lautaro time to rest after the international break with Argentina.
Marcus Thuram (7.2m – 30.3%)
After a heavily criticized performance against Germany he will be looking to silence the doubters. I feel like this is going to be a very good week for those with a double up on Inter’ attack. If Sommer is out this could also be a huge opportunity to climb the ranks.
