The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 25 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.
It isn’t long before the new Round commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. It could also help with other parts of the game including captaincy, chip strategies and long-term transfer plans.
Goalkeepers – Mile Svilar (€4.8m – 31.1%)

Most performing goalkeepers have a mildly uncomfortable fixture this week. Svilar, on the other hand, faces a Parma side in complete crisis – their latest victory was in 2024. Most of their recent goals have also come from penalty/set piece scenarios. Roma might rotate to prioritize the UEL playoffs, but Svilar is for sure a nailed starter.
Wladimiro Falcone (€4.6m – 3.3%)

Falcone always manages to stay among the best goalkeepers in the game despite playing for a team fighting to avoid relegation. To be fair, Lecce managed to keep a full clean sheet against Bologna, and now have a very favourable fixture at Monza, who sit bottom of the table.
Defenders – Dodo (€4.6m – 19.8%)

Dodo owners will surely be very satisfied with his 16 points during the double Round. Como at home is a very interesting fixture because Fabregas’ side tends to play like a better team than the League table shows, competing with the best teams in terms of possession. Fiorentina, though, have proven to be very productive against teams who want to control the game, which makes me want to bet on Palladino’s men.
Theo Hernandez (€7.2m – 57.7%)

Round 25 has some interesting fixtures between top teams: Napoli will face Lazio who have their number after beating them twice, while Inter and Juventus renew their long lasting rivalry. Meanwhile Milan host a very leaky Verona side, making them one of the most important teams to have players from.
Midfielders – Christian Pulisic (€9.2m – 64.9%)

Speaking of AC Milan players, Pulisic remains a must-own in midfield. I would keep an eye on team news: Milan face Feyenoord in the UCL, and with the reverse fixture coming up next Tuesday, there could be some key players rotated at the weekend. That said, Pulisic proved last week that he can produce multiple returns even from the bench.
Charles De Ketelaere (€9.8m – 28.1%)
![Serie A Fantasy Round 25 Top Picks](https://i0.wp.com/fantasyfootballcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/2024-12-22T163138Z_1930123615_UP1EKCM19WOEF_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ITALY-ATA-EMP-REPORT-1.jpg?resize=680%2C500&ssl=1)
I feel very boring going for the same two midfielders two weeks in a row, but given the fixtures I feel like my hands are tied. De Ketelaere has been quite a troll since Lookman got injured (he’ll be back most likely in Round 26), but this is another good fixture for Atalanta (hosting Cagliari). I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to get him at this point, but if you own him, you have to trust him one more time.
Forwards – Mateo Retegui (€5.6m – 59.8%)
![](https://i0.wp.com/fantasyfootballcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/2025-02-08T160137Z_2021866861_UP1EL2814DV2O_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ITALY-VER-ATA-REPORT-1.jpg?resize=680%2C471&ssl=1)
With Thuram who might not be fit after getting subbed due to a knock on Monday, and Kean suspended, I feel like Retegui is a no brainer for this Round. I don’t know how Gasperini will deal with the two consecutive UCL midweeks. But, without a couple of injured key players I feel like Retegui will be a very strong captaincy option for most managers no matter his xMins.
Artem Dovbyk (€9.2m – 30.1%)
![](https://i0.wp.com/fantasyfootballcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/2025-02-02T214622Z_241533053_UP1EL221OH96F_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ITALY-ROM-NAP-REPORT-1.jpg?resize=680%2C511&ssl=1)
As I said before on this piece, beware of rotation. It is very early to make guesses about who rotates and who does not. Dovbyk is certainly at risk, but if he starts I really like him against Parma. I feel like Dybala is more of a minutes risk than him. This could place him on penalties, and his replacement (Shomurodov) clearly lacks the quality to be a viable option for the entire match.
