Serie A Fantasy Round 23 Team Reveals

Italian League football continues this week so in this article we take a look at some Serie A Fantasy Double Round 23 team reveals. We brought in some top Serie A Fantasy managers to share their teams, their thoughts and talk captaincy for the new round.

Our Serie A Fantasy Double Round 23 team reveals could be extremely helpful for both new and existing fantasy managers. Knowing which players our experts are choosing could help clarify some debates and decisions in our own teams.

Note: Our Serie A Fantasy double Round 23 team reveals are subject to change.

Notes

  • My decision to hold Charles De Ketelaere backfired in Round 22, but Ademola Lookman’s injury means the Belgian midfielder should see a boost to his minutes in the league.
  • With Lookman reportedly out for 3-4 weeks, he will likely be my transfer out this week. I may once again look to bring in Paulo Dybala by downgrading Alexis Saelemaekers to someone like Morten Frendrup, particularly if the latter is a minutes risk going forward (although I expect he was just rested with Roma’s Europa League fixture in mind).
  • Captaincy will be on Federico Gatti this week as Juventus host an anaemic Empoli attack. Vice captaincy could go to almost anyone (I currently have it on Moise Kean in the hope that Fiorentina have recovered from their recent slump in form).

Notes

  • Having two defenders and two attackers from one game is always bad for our teams but unfortunately we can’t get rid of the popular assets (Puli, Theo, Sommer, and Thuram) so let’s just hope for a first half clean sheet for our defenders and two goals for our attackers in the second half).
  • The Lookman injury is a big concern, especially if he’s out for many games. The best replacements for him are (De Ketelaere, Zaccagni, a Roma midfielder and Frendrup).
  • I am keeping and benching him for now, but I’ll probably sell him before the deadline.
  • Other assets like Gatti, Yildiz, Retegui and Beukema all have good fixtures this round.
  • Captaincy: Gatti cap, Sommer vice.

Notes

  • Last week I had to replace Orsolini, this week it is Lookman who has gone down with an injury, forcing me to steer with my plans.
  • Given Atalanta’s amazing attacking fixtures, I will most likely turn to another of their midfielders (De Ketelaere is the first name on the list) for a quick replacement. However, since Torino have been good defensively, I think that I could make that move next week. This allows me to roll a transfer and to be more flexible with my decisions.
  • I am not predicting a strong Round for the template anyway.
  • Captaincy is still to be decided, but Gatti, De Gea and Kean are all being taken into consideration.

Notes

  • It’s going to be one of those weeks this week. Milan play against Inter, Roma face Napoli, so there is going to be some tough decisions to make.
  • I also have to contend with Ademola Lookman’ injury, which is far from ideal.
  • In terms of the Milan v Inter game, I think both score, but I’d put Inter as firm favourites. With that in mind, I’m going to bench Theo Hernandez this week, but play Sommer, Pulisic and Lautauro. I may consider starting Suzuki instead of Sommer, but Inter defensive ownership is crazy high.
  • Usually I play a back-five, so you know it’s one of those weird weeks, with three at the back.
  • I expect Juventus to keep a clean sheet this week against Empoli, so Gatti takes the armband.
  • Lookman’ injury may force me to bring CDK back, after selling him just last week. I still think I want double Atalanta attack.
  • Good luck this week!
