Serie A Fantasy Round 15 Top Picks

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 15 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – David De Gea (€5.4m – 32.6%)

Five clean sheets in their last eight outings for Fiorentina is a pretty good reason to count on De Gea right now. Next week sees him face Cagliari at home, who have been ok recently, but should still be an easy enough opponent to keep the good form going.

Devis Vasquez (€4.2m – 23.1%)

Empoli travel to Verona during this weekend. The home side have lost six of their last seven matches, whilst failing to score in four. Even with a midweek Cup fixture in the middle, I think Empoli can put on a successful defensive display.

Defenders – Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.4m – 48.5%)

Di Lorenzo has played every single Serie A minute this season, with Napoli having already managed double-digits for clean sheets (10). Lazio had trouble breaking down Parma’s defence, I can’t imagine them being more successful against Conte’s team.

Federico Gatti (€5.4m – 11.5%)

Gatti was subbed early against Lecce, and with Juventus barely having five fit defenders in the whole squad, there is no way Gatti doesn’t get 90 minutes this week. Juve face Bologna, who have been occupied with a Cup match during the midweek. We all know how much Italiano’s team can get inconsistent with rotations, which should help Juve get a positive result overall.

Midfielders – Ademola Lookman (€9.8m – 57.1%)

AC Milan is another team with a midweek fixture, and their defence has been very inconsistent during the season. Their best CB pair has been Thiaw-Gabbia, but both could suffer to a mobile and fast striker like Lookman. I am fully expecting De Ketelaere to drag one defender out of the defensive line to favour Lookman in his deep runs.

Kenan Yildiz (€5.2m – 58.6%)

As mentioned already, I am expecting Juve to perform well when Thiago Motta faces his previous team in the next Round. Yildiz isn’t as prolific as most top midfielders, but he keeps picking up a lot of points, sitting just 10 behind top scorer Lookman who has double his returns. He is amazing value for just 5.2m.

Forwards – Marcus Thuram (€9.4m – 58.3%)

Despite being very fond of my hometown team Parma, I have to admit they are one team to target, especially in regards to the offensive side of things. Inter have too much quality between Thuram, Lautaro, Barella for Balogh, Delprato and Suzuki to deal with. The French striker is my main candidate to score, as Parma’s CB are not that physical and thus could lose many duels with the target man.

Albert Gudmundsson (€8.2m – 9.4%)

This spot should actually go to Moise Kean, the striker with the highest xG value in the league. Still, I wanted to point out that the Icelandic #10 is now back from injury and will be eased back into the team very soon, taking penalty duty all for himself in the meantime. His quality with the ball can also indirectly benefit Kean, as Beltran wasn’t as good at finding the final pass for his striking partner.
