Serie A Fantasy Round 12 Top Picks
We look to our expert @FPL_Crisk as he provides us with the Serie A Fantasy Round 12 top picks. Round 11 saw wins for Juventus, Inter, Roma and Frosinone along with a 3-1 victory for Monza against strugglers Verona. But who could go big in the new round?
Before we take a look at who makes the cut this week, we need to highlight how important this article could be for managers. Knowing who the Serie A Fantasy Round 12 top picks are could be hugely beneficial when it comes to mini-league position and overall rank. That is because it can help with things like transfers and captaincy.
Goalkeepers – Alex Meret
Empoli are slowly starting to score more. However, Napoli are a pretty good defence, especially now that their starters are fully fit. Meret’ price is really high but when at least 5+ points are guaranteed, it’s worth it.
Wojciech Szczesny
With Danilo slowly recovering from injury, the rest of Juve’ defence is doing just as good without him. Szczesny and Bremer are standout picks, a home fixture against Cagliari should be good enough to rely on them.
Defenders – Theo Hernandez
His performances this season have been sub-par. However, Milan’ convincing victory against PSG (where the French left-back got also an assist) can be the positive swing needed to turn it back around. Lecce are not a prolific team either, so there are chances for returns both from an attacking and defensive sense.
Berat Djimsiti
Djimsiti is by all means Atalanta’s first backup defender. Somehow, every single week he’s found a way into the line-up, ending up with more points than any other Atalanta defender. Against Udinese (another poor attacking team), he will be starting due to Toloi’s suspension.
Midfielders – Albert Gudmundsson
He’s been Genoa’s main attacking threat this season. With Retegui also missing, he will be even more central (and should be on pens too) against a poor Verona side. Frendrup is also good, but his ceiling is higher in more defensive fixtures.
Domenico Berardi
In the last few weeks he’s been hit and miss. A home fixture against the weakest team in the league surely feels like Berardi should have a more than positive impact on our ranks.
Honourable Mention – Rafael Leao
As a Milan fan myself, I have to mention Leao after his performance of a lifetime against PSG. I suggest searching for a clip compilation if you haven’t had the chance to see it yet.
Forwards – Lautaro Martinez
Back into the top picks he goes. This season he’s really on fire, no reason to go against him. Frosinone have proven to concede a lot despite some good performances, so I see the possibility of a captain haul from the Argentinian striker.
Gianluca Scamacca
With De Ketelaere out injured, I foresee less rotation from Atalanta despite the Europa League midweek fixture. Scamacca and Lookman are both in good enough form to justify going for them as your main Atalanta attacker.
