Serie A Fantasy Round 12 Team Reveals

Notes

  • It was frustrating to see new recruit Nico Paz benched against Empoli. However, my team looks well set for Round 11 and, at his price point, I don’t feel it’s worth spending a transfer to take him out – at least not yet.
  • With no other issues to deal with at the time of writing, I’m likely to roll my transfer this week.
  • My main decision heading into Round 12 is what to do with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. I currently have him benched, but may have to find a way to work him into the starting XI given his performance the last time he travelled to the San Siro in Round 10.
  • There looks to be a few decent captaincy candidates this week. Mateo Retegui plays at home against Udinese and gets the nod at the moment by virtue of his and Atalanta’s scintillating form.

Notes

  • It’s a big week ahead, as I’m going to use three of my four free transfers available.
  • As the top two teams in the League clash against one another, I’m breaking up my Inter and Napoli double ups by selling Sommer and Kvaratskhelia.
  • Lookman comes in to maximize my points from Atalanta’s attack, and in order to do so I have to sell Hien. Coco has a great run of games ahead, plays in the supposed blank Round 19, and can easily be benched this Round as my team is already packed enough as it is.
  • De Gea is my goalkeeper of choice at least until Round 18, when I will most likely switch to Vasquez to attack the likely blank in the following Round.
  • Captaincy is still very up in the air: Lookman, Retegui and Tavares all look really good.

Notes

  • The round 12 deadline is Thursday (some teams will play in Europe after the deadline), so be careful while choosing captaincy and bench order.
  • My transfer in this round is a Fiorentina defender, I’m leaning towards Dodo (nailed for 90 minutes) for now as I am not certain on Gosens (better attacking numbers but can be subbed), and I’m rolling my other transfer.
  • I’m still not decided who to start between: (Yildiz/Kvara/GDL).
  • Captaincy: Viti (Empoli play Lecce, the leagues worst attack so far). Vice cap: Theo/Gatti/Dodo.

Notes

  • It’s an early deadline this week, amongst lots of European football.
  • This is my current set-up. There is one major absence from my team and that is Ademola Lookman. Initially I was hesitant about owning both Retegui and Lookman due to rotation. But, it’s got to a point where you simply have to have him, regardless of whether you think he’ll start every game or not.
  • Now, I like Kvaratskhelia, but he has a lot of cash tied up in him. I think I could probably get away with replacing him for several rounds ahead due to his fixtures. So that is likely going to be my first move. In this case Lookman will start ahead of Yildiz.
  • I also have one eye on the Blank Round in 19. I need to free up some cash and I could do that by ditching Mancini for an Empoli defender, potentially Ismajli, who is cheaper than Viti. He also plays in Round 19 when lots of teams blank.
  • The second move would mean no free transfers rolled over, so I may not go for that.
  • Captaincy could go to Retegui, or may even Hernandez If I fancy a bit of a punt.
