Notes
- I ended up rolling my transfers in Round 10.
- A switch from Amir Rrahmani to Theo Hernández is still on the cards for Round 11 despite Napoli’s clean sheet away to Milan. Nico Paz is likely to come in for the rotation-prone Kenan Yıldız in order to fund the move.
- I am also weighing up a move for Robin Gosens, who already has two goals and two assists so far this season, and whose Fiorentina side are rounding into form and a favourable run of fixtures. Federico Gatti would drop out should I decide to bring in the Fiorentina left back.
- Theo and Gosens will come straight into my starting XI. Nuno Tavares, who would have been my captain for Round 11, is now benched for Zeki Çelik following the Lazio defender’s dismissal vs Como.
- My captaincy will now go to one of Yann Sommer or Lautaro Martínez instead.

- There is quite a lot to consider this week.
- Firstly, if the latest matches taught me anything, it’s to make sure you have good squad depth going into any given round. After Tavares’s recent red card, it means I have two subs, one of which is Coco. Although cheap Coco hasn’t been producing form to suggest he is worth keeping. His side are also coming into some suspect fixtures. With that in mind, there is a chance I use a transfer this week to upgrade him to the high flying Gosens.
- Gosens seems to be in great form at the moment and so do Fiorentina. The only issue I have is that they like to rotate, which has always put me off. But, I need the squad depth so I may just go for it.
- The above is largely due to Zaccagni’s failure to start to the last two matches due to illness, Kean’s surprise dismissal from the squad due to injury and general rotation with European football ahead.
- There is a chance that one or both of Zaccagni and Kean don’t start again. This could mean starting both Paz and Gosens.
- Separately, I’m also tempted to start Paz over Yildiz anyway. Yildiz has failed to start the previous two matches for Juventus and picking up one pointers isn’t something I want to get used to.
- Lautaro seems to be coming into some form again. Or, at least his confidence should be high going into a game against a newly promoted side. I’m questioning captaincy with him due to the fact Inter play Arsenal after this match. This could see his minutes limited. I’ll also heavily consider Sommer as captain If I get a sniff of Lautaro rotation.

Notes
- I have already accumulated the maximum number of free transfers (four).
- Not wanting to “lose” a transfer, I decided that I will make one that I had planned for a later week: Martinez Quarta was always destined to leave my team, and now he’s going be sold for an Empoli defender (most likely Viti due to being nailed and having high ball recoveries).
- This is very helpful because it allows me to field a satisfying formation despite Tavares’ suspension.
- For captaincy I’m torn between Pulisic and Sommer, most likely on the Milan midfielder since Venezia have improved a little bit as of late.
