Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 4

Last modified date

Italian football is back for another round which means the fantasy football game is too! Get ready as we take a look at a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 4 provided by regular @FplRossoneri. He also shares his general thoughts around captaincy.

Checking out a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 4 can be extremely beneficial for other fantasy managers. Twitter is full of some of the most experienced fantasy managers around so catching up with their plans could help bring clarity within our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome to my GW4 Team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. Here I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW. But before that, let’s look back at GW3 which turned out to be the best so far, I scored 105 points in a GW that averaged 68 points overall.

Danilo’s captaincy really paid off with 34 points and a great GW rank of 198th in the world, it has also put me up to 1769th in the world as well but still early doors to look at ORs in my opinion. The only disappointment this week was Dusan Vlahovic who was one of my transfer-ins.

For GW4 I have one free transfer and I am looking to hold ground and somehow get through a tough round of fixtures where we have the Derby Della Madoninna, and Juventus also play Lazio.

Round 4 team reveal

Goalkeeper

  • Vanja Milenkovic-Savic (€5m) – Vanja stays in goal after another great showing getting 10 points in GW3 after the disappointment of -1 in GW2 vs. Milan. Torino tend to usually do well in defence and that was part of my thinking behind getting Vanja into my team in the first place. In GW4 Torino plays Salernitana away from home and I do expect a decent return from him again.

Defenders

  • Danilo (€6.4m) – The absolute legend of Serie A Fantasy that is Danilo proved yet again why he was the highest-scoring player in the game last year and his 17 points could have been even more had his first goal not been just offside. He even had a potential assist towards the end where Kean hit the crossbar. Danilo is a powerhouse in defence and he starts again even though Juventus play Lazio in GW4.
  • Matteo Darmian (€4.8m) – Darmian and Inter look as solid as ever and kept yet another clean sheet in GW3 where they dispatched Fiorentina 4-0 at the San Siro without much hassle. Darmian again finished the GW with 10 points, he stayed on the pitch again this time for the full 90 mins. GW4 is going to be an exciting affair as Inter squares off against their arch city rivals Milan in another edition of “Derby Della Madoninna”. I expect it to be a very close affair as both teams go into the game in great form and it is possible that it ends up as a 0-0 draw and that is why I am planning to start Darmian. This could also be one of his last appearances as Pavard builds up his fitness.
  • Rasmus Kristensen (€4.6m) – Kristensen starts for me in GW4 even though Roma have had a dismal start to their season. The reasoning behind this is obviously the fixture and the fact that they play at home, Empoli are coming to the Olimpico in wretched form and I expect Mourinho’s team to keep a clean sheet. Also, I would rather play Kristensen than Casale away to Juventus in GW4.

Midfielders

  • Rafael Leao (€11.0m) – Leao showed in GW3 why he has been Milan’s Talisman for the last couple of years scoring an incredible bicycle kick at the Olimpico against Roma. He looks in great form already and he starts for me in midfield vs Inter in the Derby in GW4.
  • Teun Koopmeiners (€7.0m) – Koopmeiners got nine points in GW3 where he provided an assist and again looked good in advanced positions for Atalanta. He stays in the team for now as I have other fires to put out first. Atalanta plays Fiorentina away in GW4 and I expect that game to be quite open and Koopmeiners can easily get on the scoresheet.
  • Gabriel Strefezza (€5.4m) – I was disappointed that Strefezza was benched vs. Salernitana at home but he came on for 19 minutes and in that time he redeemed himself by scoring a penalty in the dying minutes of the game. Strefezza starts again for me and I feel this time he should play in his natural RW position as Lecce has signed Nicola Sansone on a free transfer from Bologna.
  • Antonio Candreva (€7m) – Candreva starts again for me vs. Torino at home in GW4. He could have easily hauled again in GW3 where he failed to put away some great chances. I have faith in the Italian, and hope he can come good in GW4.

Forwards

  • Victor Osimhen (€12m) – My captain for GW4 and I expect Osimhen to come good again vs. Genoa away from home. I was lucky I didn’t captain him in GW3 as he blanked at home to Lazio. He still looked in good form, and with a lot of good teams playing each other in GW4 Osimhen stands out as the best captaincy option.
  • Lautaro Martinez (€11m) – Lautaro showed his class again in GW3 bagging another two goals vs. Fiorentina to firmly establish himself as Inter’s undisputed talisman. He seems like he is hungry to have a great goal-scoring season, and if the last few GWs are any indication it will be a catfight between him and Osimhen for the Cappocannoniere this season. He starts for me in GW4 vs. Milan.
  • Dusan Vlahovic (€9m) – My transfer from last week had a very disappointing GW3 scoring zero points as he got a yellow card but I expect him to come good soon and he starts for me vs. Lazio at home. Juventus look like a good team and Vlahovic is the man they will count on to help them in GW4.

Captaincy

Captaincy – At the moment of writing this article, after a great captaincy output in GW3, I need to keep going and my captaincy is currently on Victor Osimhen given that Milan and Inter play each other and Juventus play Lazio. I personally think it is going to stay on Osimhen as Napoli look to recover from their loss in GW3.

As per usual, I will try and let everyone know on Twitter before the deadline so make sure you
