Serie A Fantasy Expert Team Reveal for Round 21

Get ready for the new fixtures as we take a look at a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 21 provided by regular @FplRossoneriHe shares his thoughts around captaincy, transfers and the rationale behind each player in his starting XI.

Checking out a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 21 can be extremely beneficial for other fantasy managers. Twitter is full of some of the most experienced fantasy managers around so catching up with their plans could help bring clarity within our own team.

Introduction

Welcome back to my GW21 Team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. Here, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.

It feels good to be back doing this weekly team reveal after a couple of weeks away with illness. Also, here’s wishing everyone a happy new year from my side.

Now, back to the article. Looking at GW20 first, I got 113 points with a GW average of 78 points. I also had a GW rank of 702 and a quad rank of 612. It was a small green arrow again that took me from 850th to 554th worldwide. I am also now 4th in Germany after GW20.

The stars of the GW for me were Lautaro Martinez who I captained for 32 points, the Milan duo combining for 25 points, and the double Juventus defence contributing 21 points between them. Also a special mention to Ngonge and Scalvini as well who hit double-digit points in GW20.

GW 21 will be the first Blank GW of the season with only six fixtures. Looking at the fixtures, the teams to target are Juventus, Milan and Roma.

I have two FTs saved up for this GW which I will be using to take out non-playing players this GW.

Round 21 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeeper

  • Stefano Turati (€3.4m) – Having no Sommer for this GW is a bit of a bummer. But I guess this is why we have a second keeper in place. Turati has now dropped to 3.4m making him the cheapest starting GK in the game. He has only managed to keep two clean sheets this season. None of those have come in the last five GWs which does not shout points. The only thing we can rely on is save points from Turati, he has 59 saves so far contributing 24 points. Frosinone play Cagliari at home and I am just happy that I have playing keeper in BGW21.

Defenders

  • Theo Hernandez (€7.2m) – My first defender for GW21 will be Theo Hernandez from AC Milan. He is in my eyes the best LB in the world and the last few GWs has shown why. He scored 12 points yet again in GW20 with a goal at home vs Roma in a 3-1 win. Hernandez has 33 points in his last 3 GWs and looks like will again play as LB with Gabbia’s return to Milan. Milan will be playing Udinese away from home in BGW21 and I expect another goods showing from Theo.
  • Gleison Bremer (€5.8m) – My second defender in GW21 will be Bremer from Juventus who I transferred in a few GWs ago and he has not disappointed. He currently sits at the top of the defenders list with the most points for defenders. With Danilo in the line-up again, it has further strengthened the Juventus defence and increased the potential for many clean sheets. Juventus have Leece away from home in GW21. With points per GW average of 7.9, Bremer is a very important cog in my Serie A Fantasy wheel.
  • Danilo (€6.4m) – My third defender in GW20 will be Danilo from Juventus who is back fully fit after a long injury layoff and immediately looked on it in the last few GWs. When he is on the pitch he is the mainstay in the Juventus backline along with Bremer contributing not just via defensive actions but getting some goal contributions in the process as he did in GW19 where he provided the assist for Vlahovic’s winner. I like the double-up in the Juventus defence and hope they can provide a lot of fantasy points moving forward. Like Bremer, Juventus have Leece away from home in GW21 and do expect some good points.
  • Diego Llorente (€4.6m) – My final defender for GW21 is Llorente from Roma. He is also one of my FTs. Roma have looked off it recently which prompted the sacking of Jose Mourinho. Because of this, I do expect a new manager bounce. De Rossi will be looking to tighten up the defence when Verona comes to visit in GW21.

Midfielders

  • Morten Frendrup (€4.4m) – My cheap enabler is Frendrup. He is quietly going about his business at least from a fantasy perspective. Frendrup has now racked up 103 TBIs in just 20 games which is the highest in the league by 20 TBIs. He provides owners with the assurance that no matter what he can always get anywhere between 5-7 points every GW. Frendrup will be up against Salernitana in GW21 and I expect a load of TBI points again at the very least. He was rested recently as well in the league so I do not expect another benching in a long time.
  • Paulo Dybala (€11m) – Even though Dybala is an injury risk most of the time, with him in that creative CAM role, Roma look like an entirely different team. His creative prowess have been on display whenever he starts. Lukaku also becomes a better asset because of Dybala. I will be following the injury news in Serie A and if it’s confirmed that Dybala is back, he will probably be my captain as well in GW21.
  • Andrea Colpani (€5.2m) – My second cheap enabler is Colpani when Monza play Empoli this GW. At just a 5.2m he already has six goals and one assist in 20 starts. He also plays in a good Monza team who have had to face the likes of Juventus, Napoli, Milan and Inter in the last few GWs. Colpani is easily Monza’s best-attacking player. I also expect he has a good time against one of Serie A’s leakiest defences.
  • Albert Gudmundsson (€6m) – I will be using my second FT to finally bring in a player I have really wanted in my team for some time. Gudmundsson has been one of the league’s revelations this year with eight goals and two assists in just 18 games for Genoa. He has transitioned from a CAM/LW to a ST role this year because of Retegui’s injury problems and he has embraced the role. He sits third in the most points list for midfielders in Serie A Fantasy and at just 6M, he is an absolute bargain.

Forwards

  • Oliver Giroud (€9m) – My only playing forward for BGW21 will be Oliver Giroud. He has been great for me since I transferred him in in GW17. Giroud now has 10 goals and six assists in 17 starts for Milan sharing the Talisman duties with Leao. He will want to get on the score sheet again in GW21 when Milan visits Udinese away. Giroud could also be a viable option for captaincy this week.

Captaincy

At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Danilo for reasons I have mentioned above. Paulo Dybala and Oliver Giroud are also in the running for captaincy as things stand.

As per usual, I will try and let everyone know on Twitter before the deadline. So, make sure you are following me on there via @FPLRossoneriNick. Also follow Fantasy Football Community for all the of latest updates in Serie A Fantasy.
