Serie A Fantasy Expert Team Reveal for Round 20

Get ready for the new fixtures as we take a look at a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 20 provided by regular @FPLReactionHe also shares his general thoughts around captaincy and his initial plans for the blank and double Rounds ahead.

Checking out a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 20 can be extremely beneficial for other fantasy managers. Twitter is full of some of the most experienced fantasy managers around so catching up with their plans could help bring clarity within our own team.

Blanks and Doubles

Firstly I should probably remind the readers that we have a Blank Gameweek in Round 21 (next week). We also have a small double in Round 24 and a large double in Round 26.

We are at a point now where our transfers are vital to tackling the period ahead. Yes we can take hits but -5 points for each transfer is something I think we should be looking to avoid if in bulk.

Ultimately this article is about Round 20. But, I don’t think it would be right if I didn’t discuss how I am planning to navigate the schedule ahead and I will do that below. But, my first piece of advice would be to save your transfers unless you have a clear plan.

Round 20 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Notes

  • As you can see I have quite a lot of squad depth. This will come in handy to navigate the blanks and doubles ahead.
  • I have decided on a 4-3-3 for now. This is because I want all of my strikers starting. I also prefer Bologna’ Posch to the likes of Felipe Anderson who is a minutes risk and Scalvini who I think will concede. Colpani has been irritating me recently. He is failing to get amongst the goals his side are scoring.
  • I am awaiting news on certain players like Chiesa. Chiesa missed the last match but he also has two great fixtures ahead and one of them is in the Blank Round.
  • Captaincy is straight forward for me in terms of Lautaro Martinez. He looks back to his best after injury but he also faces Monza who have been conceding plenty of goals recently. Monza also lost goalkeeper Di Gregorio to injury who in my opinion has been excellent this season, so will be a huge loss if missing out this week.
  • My plan is to roll the transfer this week. This is until things become a little clear for me in regards to fitness and planning for the schedule ahead.

Blank and Double Planning

  • Acknowledging the Blank Round first, I currently have seven outfield players who cannot play. This means that I will have just seven players who will start that week. I also have plenty of captaincy options that week so I feel ok in that respect. The only players I think I would want for that week is potentially a Roma or Genoa attacker.
  • In terms of the small double Round in 24 it is only Bologna and Fiorentina who have two matches. I have two Bologna players who blank in 21 but then double in 24 so I would want to hold both. As for Fiorentina, I am not sure I would want anyone due to potential rotation there so buying more players for Round 24 isn’t a priority. Fiorentina do have good fixtures in and around that double as well so I will still monitor and consider investing in a midfielder.
  • The large double Round in 26 is obviously key. I currently have six players that could play in those matches. But, we have plenty of time to plan for that. After all, a lot can and will change. What I will say though is that players like Osmihen, Kvaratskhlia and Sommer could be high on everyone’ shortlist for that Round.
  • There are a couple of players I could sell though. One of them is Scalvini. He has a double against Milan and Inter away and blanks in 21 so he could be on the chopping block. Berardi also has the potential to go. He has Juventus next and then a blank. He could also fund a move in the future for a player like Osmihen or Kvaratskhelia. He could even go for Genoa’ Guðmundsson who has a good fixture next, plays in the blank and is nice and cheap.
