Serie A Fantasy 24/25: Who Has The Worst Starting Fixtures?

With Serie A Fantasy Fantasy 24/25 approaching, taking a look at the teams with the worst start to the season could be hugely beneficial when it comes to planning. Playing the fixtures can be the difference to starting the new season poorly and starting the new season successfully.

Genoa

Regardless of Gudmundsson and Frendrup’ future at the club, Genoa’ starting run is not really optimal. Inter, Roma and Juventus are almost evenly spaced out in the first six fixtures. Only the two games against Verona and Venezia look good for them. I would avoid at first even if they manage to keep hold their top performers.

Verona

Verona face Como in Round 6, that’s the only good thing about their starting fixtures. Before that they face three of the Italian Seven Sisters, two of which (Napoli and Juve) come in the first two games of the season.

Torino

Torino’s fixtures aren’t that bad to be fair. They face Venezia, Lecce and Verona in Rounds 3-5. The big problem comes from the starting two in which they face Milan and Atalanta, so I would avoid having their players in my first draft but you could always pick them later. In addition to that, losing a great defensive coach in Juric and their best defender Buongiorno is going to weaken Torino significantly.

Venezia

This is just a disaster. Not only Venezia will likely be considered the weakest team in Serie A, but their first run of fixtures is also just as bad. The “weakest” team they face in the first six games is Genoa, 11th last season. The other teams are Lazio, Fiorentina, Torino, Milan and Roma. As of now, I can’t see them managing more than two points before the end of September.
