Rumour Mill: Potential Double Gameweek?
This afternoon the FPL community rumour mill went into over drive with a Tweet from TheKopHQ that Liverpool were about to have match against Leeds rescheduled.
FPL managers all love a Double Gameweek.
However the prospect of a Double Gameweek involving one of the most targeted teams in FPL is something to get very excited about.
Three of the top five scoring FPL points scorers are from Liverpool, as well as the same three players in the top six most owned players in the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota would all be fantastic options for a Double Gameweek. All three over the potential to play the Triple captain armband.
Liverpool are due to play Norwich on the 19th of February which falls in Gameweek 26. They are then due to blank in Gameweek 27 for the League Cup final against Chelsea.
If Spion Kop is correct and the fixture is rescheduled for Wednesday 23rd it would logically slot on to the end of Gameweek 26, giving Liverpool a Double Gameweek against Norwich and Leeds.
