Most popular transfers for Gameweek 7

The new round of Fantasy Premier League is just around the corner. Many within the community are already making their moves ahead of the new round so with the help of the Official Premier League website we highlight the most popular transfers for Gameweek 7.

Checking out the most popular transfers for Gameweek 7 can be really helpful to fantasy managers. Whether it be due to injuries, bans, player and team form, the transfers other people are making can help bring clarity to our own decisions.

The most popular transfers in

  • Julian Alvarez (£6.9m) – The Manchester City striker faces Wolves in Gameweek 7. He has been picked up by an additional 771359 managers ahead of the new round. Alvarez has also managed to return in four of his first five matches.
  • Sven Botman (£4.5m) – Newcastle are in the midst of a great run of fixtures. They come up against promoted side Burnley next up. Centre-back Botman is one of the cheapest ways into the defence and is the second most bought player (329890).
  • Bryan Mbeumo (£6.9m) – Brentford have an interesting match against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 7. Their standout player is Mbeumo who takes his sides penalties and has collected 241722 new fantasy managers.
  • James Ward-Prowse (£6.2m) – The West Ham midfielder has picked up 214610 new owners. So far Ward-Prowse has bagged a return in all four of his last games. He comes up against Sheffield United at home next.
  • Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) – Liverpool have started their new season in great form. Because of that and his early form, Salah has gained 210908 new managers. He has Tottenham up next – one of the most in-form teams in the league.

The most popular transfers out

  • Nicolas Jackson (£7m) – The Chelsea forward has been a frustrating own for many. After racking up seven big chances but scoring just one goal he has been shipped out by 355932 managers – making him the most sold player ahead of the new round.
  • Ben Chilwell (£5.7m) – Staying with Chelsea, Chilwell failed to start his match in Gameweek 5 which caused major concern for managers. That could be the biggest reasons he sits as the second most sold player in the game (295460).
  • Alexander Isak (£7.6m) – Newcastle have a great schedule ahead but the Champions League could cause rotation amongst the frontline. Isak is the third highest sold asset this week (268399), even with Burnley ahead.
  • Ollie Watkins (7.9m) – At the time of writing Watkins has failed to collect more than five points from any of his matches so far. This could be one of the biggest reasons he has been shipped out by a huge 168122 managers.
  • Marcus Rashford (£8.9m) – The Manchester United midfielder is the fifth most sold player this week. Since changing position his form has improved. However, he faces Crystal Palace in Gameweek 7 so we could see all 164672 mangers regret their sale.
